Ding tone has been a Fun way to earn a really great resource . Definitely helped me out in a bind . Not to mention , the developers have gone out of their way it seems to make this app extremely user friendly . If your like me and you can’t always afford to shell out real cash for credit , ding tone truly does it’s best at guiding you through a multitude of ways to earn free credits that amount to the same as if you were to buy the credits flat out with cash . It could be as small as .5 of a credit for watching a 5 second video , or something a bit more challenging or fun like get to level 30 on a specific new game for 300 credits . Don’t be fooled some of the higher offers do take time/ work. If your willing to put in the effort as well as have a little fun this is a near perfect app that allows a vital resource to be accessed by anyone , regardless of financial status. I think this app works great for the casual user who has home WiFi. I don’t like talking longtime on phone unless it is immediate family. My biggest concern is that the sound quality and connection when chatting has been horrible lately. Not sure what has been up, but the app needs an upgrade desperately. If you take 2 seconds each day to check in (I even exit out of ads before they pop up) to get the 4 to 5 credits a day, it should be plenty for others. If you use phone for work this app not for you. You enjoy chatting a lot daily cough up a few bucks for the credits. Still beats paying a major carrier. If you NEED to use the phone in the road find another app or carrier. Emergencies this app seems pretty good but to be honest, never had one in last couple years needing to call on the road without WiFi. If traveling with friend, you can always ask to sync on there phones hot spot while on road or other instances where WiFi not available. Having a partner with hotspot feature makes this app a great choice too. My only real complaint is, as I said before, the sound quality, has been very poor last couple months. Hope they fix it soon. I may choose something different very soon.

I initially chose Dingtone for its affordability and convenience, but my overall experience has been extremely disappointing. After being a paying customer for over a year, I attempted to port my phone number to another provider, only to face a shocking $1,000 fee. This demand is not only exorbitant but also contradicts federal consumer protections around number portability. Their terms of service even claim you don’t own your phone number, which is both misleading and illegal.Beyond this issue, the app itself has several flaws. Even as a paying customer, I had to endure constant ads—sometimes several in a row—which disrupt the user experience. The app is also very buggy, with frequent crashes and glitches that make it frustrating to use. To make matters worse, customer service is essentially unresponsive, leaving users without support for these ongoing problems.If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, I recommend exploring alternative providers with fair policies and a more reliable app. Dingtone’s practices and poor user experience make it difficult to recommend. Proceed with caution.

I like this app. I like that you can get a real phone number. I HATE the ads they force on you. I also HATE that when you allow the Dingtone app to give you notifications (which you have to do if you want to be notified when someone is calling you) Dingtone will abuse that access and put notifications on your phone to buy credits. I hate looking down and seeing random notifications to buy stuff on my lock screen. Also, Dingtone provides users the option to earn free credits by signing up for promos, playing advertising games and subscribing to ad services. I understand some people can’t afford to buy credits outright and this gives them some options. This could come in very handy if you are abroad, lost all your cash and desperately need to make a phone call. Unfortunately, I have tried out some of these “free credits” options and there are many that just take your information and never give you the credits. For example, I was supposed to earn a handful of credits for signing up on some Burger King mailing list. I clicked the link and it took me to a long advertising survey that asked me endless amounts of personal questions. It didn’t even seem like it was for Burger King at all. In the end, the survey had literally asked me about 100 personal questions and I never received my free credits. I felt used and taken advantage of. It felt so shady and I hated it. I don’t trust those “earn free credit” gimmicks now. Dingtone has great potential but I wish I could just pay for a premium version that has 0 ADVERTISEMENTS and 0 PROMOTIONAL NOTIFICATIONS. When you give advertisers the freedom to operate inside your phone, if you give them an inch of space they will take a mile. Dingtone is a powerful and useful app that unfortunately, also gives advertisers a door into your system. Remember NOTHING IS FOR FREE. Facebook isn’t for free and Google services aren’t free. You are trading your identity for these services. And Dingtone is more brazen about this than I feel comfortable with.
