Description

OUR AI MODELS FILTER JUNK OUT
20 cutting-edge models, with source code and datasets open to the public. Full transparency and no hidden biases. Effective detection (and filtering) of misinformation, disinformation, propaganda, and clickbait.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE AND CONTROL YOUR FEED
You have complete control over sources, categories and the amount of articles in each category. You can enable and disable publications as you see fit. You can see how we customized the feed to your preferences, and manually adjust every single thing we did. There are no black boxes - you are in control.

A SLICK USER INTERFACE
If you like the topic of an article, swipe right (and you’ll see more articles on this topic over time). If you find the topic boring, swipe left (and you’ll see less). If you want to listen rather than read, click a button (or say “listen”) and we’ll play the summary for you. If you want to comment or share, it’s one button-click (or voice command) away.

A BULLET-POINT SUMMARY FOR EACH NEWS ITEM
Save your time and effort by reading a few short bullet points instead of giant walls of text. Most articles don’t need to be 8000 words. We summarize them for you in a few sentences (and then link to the source).

A NUTRITION LABEL FOR EACH NEWS ITEM
Our food comes with nutrition labels. Shouldn’t our news have them too? Well, now it does. Every article comes with a detailed nutrition label that helps you decide whether something is worth consuming -- before you consume it.

HANDS-FREE NEWS READING
Use voice commands to control our apps, and ask to listen to news articles instead of reading them. All the slick interface features described above - swipes, customizations, etc - can be done hands-free!

Experience all these benefits and more by downloading our app today. It's free, ad-free and junk-free.

Try it out for yourself, completely free of charge.

User-friendly and concise news

I enjoyed the Batman inspired design of the mascot and logo for this app, and also how easy it is to submit feedback on whether or not you enjoyed a news article (it has a swiping functionality similar to dating apps).

You can choose which major news networks you would like to prioritize seeing articles from, and also generalized categories of information as well. Overall, this app is going to become one of my go-to news sources

I Love This App!😊

I am loving the OtherWeb app!. I mostly avoid news (not a good thing to do, I know) because of the crazy length of most articles and because of the biases. I desire objective news. And I avoid news articles because of all the ads….sometimes a crazy amount of them. I like the summaries, which let me decide if I want to read the in-depth articles. I like staying informed, but life is busy…..

Ad-free news app with great potential!

Finding an ad-free news app, website..etc is rare these days. The concept of this app is great, however as an IPad user the UI/UX design could use some work as I found the images to be a little too big and overlapped with news “cards”. The option to listen to news is great and the summary is awesome since it makes it easier for me decide whether an article is worth reading. I think there’s a lot of potential with Otherweb!
