Since I first picked up a guitar, I have been looking for a way to parse out tracks so I could learn them as part of my practice routine. I shutter to think of all the money I wasted on failed gear over the years. Then I took a chance on this app and have been pleasantly surprised at the results, not too mention the inexpensive cost. No, it’s not perfect. There are some digital artifacts and skipping present sometimes. But it’s far and away more than I have ever dreamed was possible. As others have mentioned, one downside is that you can only isolate one thing at a time. So if I want to isolate tracks from a song that has an electric and an acoustic guitar, I have to run a few passes and use minutes for each. Even after the update that stated it was now possible.

I could never figure out how to actually delete the file so that I didn’t have to buy minutes. I’ve only ever had one mobile AI thing that was a demo version that actually worked, and I didn’t have to buy that. That was the Cover Art studio.. I like what they did because even if you didn’t buy it, you wouldn’t need all those stupid stickers anyway you could literally do anything with that app without having to buy the full version. I’m sick of everything having to pay money or maybe here’s another gripe I just couldn’t figure out how to delete the files if you’re gonna give me minutes then why can’t I delete files to get my minutes back? There’s no refund there’s no saving money. It’s so confusing and stressful. I need help if there’s any developers reading this message maybe I’m just ranting to that. I apologize but I need solutions for this problem..

I have used a number of programs to isolate sounds. This one does just as good and sometimes better than those that are much more expensive! Creating a karaoke track is probably the easiest. Other great features are to extract the drums or bass to create stems. Middle voices are always the hardest to isolate.Once extracted, you will definitely want an additional program to clean up and equalize the stem. As others have stated, it is preferred to extract all the desired tracks at once rather than individually, but I can see this upgrade happening over time.

As in other reviews, a big issue with this app is that it offers the ability to isolate or remove a number of instruments from the tracks you upload, but if you want to remove both the vocals and drums from track, that’s a two-step process rather than one. The app uses “minutes” as its credit system rather than charging per track or track removed. I get that the resource you pay for is the time it takes to process the track, but that doesn’t line up directly with the length of the track you upload. So you can’t judge how much you can do with what you paid for. There are other options that are web based that run on a subscription model, so you can pay a flat rate and know how much it will cost to process all the tracks you want to separate.
