I’ve been using the PixyCAD beta under the impression that, when the paid full release happens, there would be a one-time purchase option. There is not, and I think it is ridiculous that you are expected to pay a subscription for an app that runs entirely on-device - besides maybe the cloud backup feature, which you could just use iCloud for. This is a common gripe I have with many, many apps.PixyCAD is promising and has potential, but I don’t think it’s ready for a full release yet. I like the idea, and the liquid glass look. However, several bugs I have reported during the beta have not been fixed, and the interface is still somewhat confusing, relying on icons to know what you’re doing. And to redo, you have to… hold the undo button???
One of our main goals is to keep PixyCAD reliable, continuously improving, and always moving forward. A subscription model helps us do that by keeping everyone on the same up-to-date version, allowing us to focus on new features and fixes, and giving users more control over their subscription with both monthly and annual plans.Regarding redo, it currently works the same way as in many Apple applications, where a long press on Undo gives access to Redo, but we appreciate the feedback and will keep it in mind for future improvements. Please feel free to contact us at support@pixycad.com with any bugs or issues you encounter. We are committed to improving PixyCAD through valuable feedback from users like you.
