Press one button and something good happens: a true story from somewhere real. Hundreds more on a map, pinned where they happened. Five new ones every weekday at 7 am.
It's late, you feel bad, and your thumb is already moving. honeyletter is the thing to open instead. Press one button and it hands you something good that actually happened, somewhere real, to a real person.
Every other app tells you to close your eyes and breathe. This one gives you proof the world is still mostly kind.
THE BUTTON
One tab, one button. Press it and you get a true story about a stranger being kind, somewhere on earth. A rescued horse in Ohio. A farmer in Peru who beat a mining company. Ten orangutans born in a forest that had none. No feed to scroll, no algorithm deciding. Just one good thing, whenever you need one.
THE MAP
Every good thing we have ever found is pinned to the exact place it happened. Hundreds of them, and five more every weekday. You can wander it like a map of the world's quiet decency, or search your own town and see what has happened there.
THE LETTER
Every weekday at 7am, five good things arrive. Each one reported and written properly, not a screenshot of a nice tweet. It takes three minutes to read, and then it is finished. No infinite scroll. Nothing to refresh. It ends on purpose, so it gives your morning back instead of taking it.
No letter on weekends. Those are yours.
WHAT THIS IS NOT
No notifications designed to pull you back. No streaks to break. No engagement metrics. No ads, ever. Nothing here is trying to keep you here.
honeyletter is free. Every weekday letter, every day, no charge.
honeyletter+ unlocks the whole map: every pin, search, and the full archive. It is how honeyletter stays free for everyone else and why there will never be a sponsor in your letter.
Made by one person, in the evenings, for anyone who wants a better start to the day.

Three minutes was the whole design. Thank you for saying it better than we do.
There’s still good in the world!

HoneyLetter is such a refreshing change from the constant negativity that can come with scrolling online and consuming bad news & trauma - our brains are just not wired for it! I love having a news space dedicated to uplifting stories, good news, and reminders that there is still so much kindness and humanity happening in the world despite the bad. It genuinely feels like a little mental reset whenever I open it! The content is thoughtful, and positive, without feeling forced or like “toxic positivity”, and leaves me feeling lighter rather than overwhelmed. It’s a great balance for the mind! In a world where we’re constantly exposed to stressful headlines, HoneyLetter feels like a breath of fresh air. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a little more hope and goodness in their daily news update routine. 💛

Thank you so much for this. "A little mental reset" is exactly what I hoped it would be. I started honeyletter after one too many 5am mornings up with my daughter, scrolling and finding nothing good to open, so hearing that it leaves you lighter instead of overwhelmed means a lot. And thank you for calling out the toxic positivity part. We work hard to keep it real stories about real people, not forced cheer. Glad you're here.
Exactly what I needed in my morning routine

I absolutely love this app. It’s such a refreshing way to start the day and a much-needed break from the constant stream of negative news and social media. The stories are quick, uplifting, and genuinely leave you feeling a little better about the world. I also love that it only takes a few minutes, so it’s easy to make part of your morning routine. Such a simple concept, but so well done. Highly recommend!
Part of my daily morning routine!

I love doomscrolling on social media as much as anyone— but between that and all the traditional media outlets, I feel like I’m being funneled news that is increasingly negative or overly opinionated.Honeyletter has become a brief escape from all of that for me, and I’m grateful for the dose of positivity it allows me to begin every day with. I’d recommend this app to everyone interested in seeing some good news in the world!
Developer Response
A brief escape is exactly the job. Thanks for being here from day three.
Faster map, redesigned story cards, and today's stories now appear on the map the moment they're published.
