Read and listen to your own books and articles — with sentence highlighting, optional atmosphere, and voices you control.
Import EPUB, PDF, or TXT onto your Bookshelf. Save shorter pieces as Articles from text you write or paste, a file, a scanned page, a webpage, or an RSS/Atom feed. Aurader keeps your place and highlights the sentence being read, so you can stop and continue later.
What you can do
• Read and listen in one place
Open a book on screen, or tap listen. Playback speed and voice are adjustable. Listening position is saved separately from reading position, and the current sentence stays highlighted.
• Atmosphere while you listen
Add background music, ambient sound, and a visual scene. Free accounts can use background music for 20 minutes per day; Premium is unlimited.
• Books and articles, kept separate
The Bookshelf is for longer files, including EPUB, PDF, TXT, and audiobooks. Articles are for shorter pieces — write, paste, import, scan, save a webpage, or subscribe to a feed. Articles can be read aloud, with bilingual text and shadowing.
• Study without leaving the page
Highlight, add notes, look up a word, and translate. Saved words go to your Wordbook. You can turn a sentence into a card to keep or share.
• Voices you can actually choose
Standard uses Apple system voices on your device. Offline neural voices are available in English. You can also use the built-in cloud engine, or connect your own TTS API. Language coverage depends on the engine and the voices available to you — not on a fixed “60+ languages” list.
• Make it yours
Built-in themes, plus custom themes. Adjust fonts and spacing. Stats track recent reading and listening. Continue from the Home Screen widget, and play books or article queues in the car with CarPlay.

Purchases and subscriptions
• Aurader offers a one-time lifetime purchase with no automatic renewal, and a weekly auto-renewable subscription
• Existing subscribers can manage or cancel in their Apple Account settings
• Unused subscription time is not refunded or converted if you switch to lifetime access

This is by far the best app I’ve ever used for turning books into audio. It supports multiple languages and accents, and the narration is incredibly smooth and natural. It’s perfect for listening to books. Highly recommended!
Great if constant crashing was fixed

App crashes constantly when using it in split screen on my iPad. Wish it supported that iOS functionality better. Would love to have the book going on the top half of the screen while I work in another app on the bottom half. It works at first but will always stop the audiobook within a minute. If that was fixed, app would be amazing for multitasking.

Could you please send a screen recording of the crash via the "Email Feedback" button in the app's Settings? This helps me see exactly what happens and check the diagnostic logs. I'm committed to making Aurader amazing for multitasking!

Thank for your development. But even a listener like me:English as a 2nd language. I can’t force to immerse myself in Chinglish. And bad thing is you can’t choose who read, I mean there is no option out there: male narrator, female narrator- Tom, Lisa, John, Jesica, etc. you develop this in iOS. Why don’t you use sound library inside iOS instead. Please update it. Thank you for your hardworking and great efforts.

Hi, thanks a lot for the feedback and for trying Aurader.The issue you described usually happens when the book language is detected incorrectly, which can cause the TTS voice to read English text with the wrong language model (resulting in a “Chinglish” accent).You can fix this by tapping the last button on the top-right corner of the player and manually selecting the correct TTS language to match the book.We’re also working on improving automatic language detection and voice options in future updates so this happens less often.Thanks again for your support and suggestions!
