Better Battery 2 shows information and stats of your MacBook battery in the menu bar. So you are always aware of the current battery stats, battery time and health. Standard Edition: The Standard Edition is free and provides current stats and infos about the battery such as current charge level, battery/charge time, capacity, charge cycles, health, age, temperature, electrical values and System Information of your MacBook. Pro Edition: The Pro Edition enables the history functionality. Available as an InApp purchase, it adds a range of informations, features and charts, as well as the total battery- and usage time of your MacBook. Better Battery 2 records data such as capacity, charge cycles, the charge/discharge curve for the last 36 hours as well as the time your MacBook is charging, fully charged and/or used on battery power. The app also records the time that your MacBook is in the optimal range for lithium-ion batteries (40 - 80%). It also tells you how much time you've been using the computer and gives recommendations for a daily minimal battery time. You can view all recorded data in easy-to-read graphs and reports. Features: - Battery stats and infos - System information - Battery lifetime statistics - Alternative (space saving) battery symbols - Daily battery time recommendation - Charge level overview - Charge curve of the last 6/12/24/36/48 hours - Capacity Chart - Charge Cycle Chart - Power Chart - Battery Condition Chart - Battery and usage time Chart - and so on The Pro-Edition can be tested free of charge for 30 days. I like this app because of the detailed info and also because it can show both time and percentage in the menubar. HOWEVER, I swapped the battery in my MacBook Pro and the app continues to show the "manufactured date" of the OLD battery, indicating it is caching info somewhere. No other app had this problem. Also, as the new battery approached full charge, the percent displayed started to diverge from the Mac's built-in monitor and a compeeting app as well. So, unfortunately, I feel like I can't completely trust what this app is telling me.

Hi. Thanks for your feedback. Manufacture date is from the battery directly; the App isn't caching the date. If you compare the percentage of the charge level with other Apps or macOS, check if "Real charge level" is activated or not in the settings. If yes, the value is calculated by current, real capacity values. If no, the value will be the same as macOS is showing to you; but it's an optimized value.

I have just purchased this for my recently replaced (under warranty) battery pack on my 15" MacBook Pro (Intel) 2019 after a lengthy demo offer (thanks for that, Andreas). I rarely give a five start review, this app deserves it! Better Battery2:Stats and Info was checked againat several apps that were similar. It has better features and better graphical reporting of battery conditions. Both were very useful to improve my battery life AND explain the kinky features in my recently factory upgraded MBP. Apple apparently added a new device controller to adjust my battery charge. It has a new feature ("Charging on hold") that no one at Apple can explain, but that this app tracks very nicely. I like it a lot.
