Could be great, but it’s not.

Much of the material on Bored Panda is lifted wholesale from other sites, particularly Reddit and Twitter. Most of this material is at least a couple of years old. There is some original content which is usually pretty good, but not always. Unfortunately, the regurgitated content seems to be taking over. No effort is given to match the photos with the content matter, and, more egregiously, no credit is given to photographers or artists whose work has been co-opted. Finally, a depressing amount of the content is factually wrong; apparently fact checking is not a thing at Bored Panda.Finally, Bored Panda gives you the option to either upvote or downvote people’s comments. This gets abused all the time, with people receiving downvotes either arbitrarily or because the reader disagrees with the commenter’s opinion. This in and of itself isn’t that much of a problem. What is a problem is that BP keeps track of downvotes, and after a certain number will no longer permit that person to comment. Bored Panda users have protested against this policy, but have been soundly ignored.Frankly, I’m about to delete this app because it’s so frustrating (the app itself is very unstable and has frequent glitches.)

Getting worse over time

Not able to edit or remove comments or replies that I make. Why take that away? Sometimes I get the “you’re having internet issues, please try again”. No, I am not having internet issues, everything else is just fine, it’s only noted panda. When you click the part to see how many votes or replies on your comment/post, it does not take you directly to it. It used to do this 1-2 years ago. Now, you have to to hunt for it by clicking the “view post”, then scrolling through the post to look for the one(s) you made or commented on. Then today, it would not let me vote. Said I had to log in. Apparently, I was kicked off overnight. So I logged back in, and I tried to place my vote again. Took me back to the login screen. I did this about three times, just to make sure. Still no luck. When you click on the top three tabs of different titles, half the time, a blank screen pops up with the words, “no posts yet”, or something along those lines. What the heck is going on these days with BP? They have definitely been declining a lot in the past 6-8 mos or more.

I REALLY REALLY love Bored Panda. I love the content and the way it’s set up. EXCEPT for their ads. Ever since they injected the ads, it’s gotten insane. I can’t even get 1/4 thru a post before the ads have become so obnoxious that I can’t even use the site. Constantly popping up, 2-3 deep pop up ads, ads that cause the page to move around so I lose my spot. Not to mention that logging in only randomly works, and the app doesn’t keep me logged in. I have tried coming back 4-5 times in the past year, since I deleted the app the FIRST time (at that point, they were averaging 3.5-4 stars, so that tells u something there. Or, at least, it SHOULD b), and try using via Google browser, which actually makes it all even WORSE! If u guys don’t do something soon, there will b NO CHANCE to get ur loyal users to come back.I would HAPPILY pay, to avoid all this. So long as the amount is reasonable. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Start listening to us!

I love this site, but the app is super buggy, especially with pages not loading all the way. After this most recent update, half of the posts won’t show content other than comments and credits — just a spinning wheel where the content should be. Also, I hate the change made a few weeks ago where it shows a bunch of comments between each item in the listicle. I come for the content, not the comments. If I want to read the comments, I’ll press the little button to view them. Seriously do not like these recent changes — I would take the old bugs of full lists occasionally not loading over this new format/bug issues any day.
