The maths behind a priced round, without a spreadsheet. CalcVC is a private iOS calculator for priced venture rounds: post-money valuation, investor ownership, dilution, and optional exit proceeds and MOIC. Rather than asking you to maintain a spreadsheet, CalcVC solves the equations from the numbers you enter. You control the constraints. It does not silently pick which number to hold. The goal is simple: enter a priced round and see the maths. CalcVC is an educational calculation tool. It is not financial, investment, legal, tax, or professional advice. Results are not predictions or guarantees. It does not model multiple SAFEs, multiple preferred classes, fees, taxes, FX, or a full cap table. THE PRICED ROUND • A priced round, bound returns, and one optional next round with pro-rata follow-on • Post-money is pre-money plus investment • Investor ownership is investment divided by post-money • Existing-holder dilution — treated as one residual pool — equals investor ownership TYPE ANY FIGURE • The lock next to a number pins it • Pinned values stay put • Unpinned values move when you edit something else • Four fictional presets are included so the calculator is readable on first use. They are not real companies or recommendations. OPTIONAL MODULES • Share counts, one option pool, one SAFE • Years and IRR, a fund sketch, a one-class preference • An ownership split • Empty modules stay inactive and do not change the priced round PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Scenarios stay on this device • They will not automatically transfer to another device • Share exports plain text and a generated summary card • Nothing leaves the device until you choose to share CalcVC requires iOS 17 or later.
