Camivex watches, records and annotates what a camera is seeing — the camera your device
already has, or a camera on the network over RTSP.
Everything stays on your device. There is no cloud, and no account to create.
LIVE VIEW
Use the built-in camera, or point Camivex at a network camera by its RTSP address. A network
camera that publishes a WebSocket control endpoint can be started and stopped from the app.
RTSP SERVER
Publish the live picture to any RTSP player — VLC, a recorder, or another Camivex device on the
same network. A network camera is re-published without being re-encoded, and a bundled clip can
be served with no camera attached at all, so the server can be tried anywhere.
RECORDING AND PRE-RECORD
Save a clip as MP4. The pre-record buffer keeps the seconds before you pressed Record, so the
moment you noticed is already in the file.
ANNOTATE
Draw on the live picture, on a still, or on a recording — then share the frame with the marks
on it.
CAPTURE LIBRARY
Stills and clips are filed in collections on your device, with thumbnails and file details, so
the frame you need can be found again.
COMPARE TWO CAPTURES
Put two captures side by side and move them as one, to see whether anything changed.
BUILT FOR THE JOB
Device settings such as zoom, exposure and white balance where the camera reports them, plus a
debug view for when a stream is not behaving.
ON A PHONE
The live picture first, with capture, record and the camera's own controls within reach of a
thumb.
FREE AND PRO
Camivex is free to download and use. The free tier keeps five captures at a time — deleting one
makes room for the next — gives three pre-record sessions, and keeps a network camera for the
session it was added in. Camivex Pro is a one-time purchase, no subscription, that lifts all
three limits and turns on the built-in RTSP server.
WHAT YOU NEED
The camera your device has, or a network camera publishing RTSP. iOS 15 or later.
Camivex is not a certified medical device. It views and records what a camera sends; it is not
intended for diagnosis, treatment planning or any purpose that requires regulatory clearance.
Always check that a recording you need was actually written.

• Send the live picture to MedView from the toolbar, beside Share. The drawing goes with it, and stays editable at the other end.
• Annotations now edit the way a drawing tool does: tap a mark to pick it up, pull a corner to resize it, drag its body to move it, sweep a box over several to select them together, then delete them in one step.
• A magnifier follows your finger while you draw or reshape a mark — on the live picture and on a capture — so a point lands on the detail you meant.
• The live picture and every page now plan their layout from the shape of the screen, with the deck layout on foldables and tablets.
• Bug fixing.
