CapsLocker 4+

Great app, but not compatible with Bartender4

This app is surprisingly helpful. I don't know how often I hit caps lock -- or don't hit it -- by mistake, but this saves me.
The only issue I have is that it is not compatible with Bartender4. I want to hide it from the menubar, but it keeps reappearing.

We’re aware of the issue with Bartender, but there’s not much we can do on our end right now. I’ve already contacted the developer of Bartender, though. So there might be a fix coming to this from one side or the other.

Why can they no longer make a caps lock key that stays down when active? I’ve been used to this feature since manual typewriters, IBM selectrics and the Apple Keyboard II. I was so disgusted when I could no longer use my Apple Keyboards with serial/usb converters. My new daskeyboard is nice except for no caps lock lock. The little blue light is useless because you’re touch-typing, not looking at the keyboard. I use all caps for emphasis in typesetting and get frustrated when I’ve forgotten to unlock caps lock and have to retype.. Capslocker’s big visual arrow on screen is a BIG reminder. THANK YOU!

Great App... and even better support

For a 20 year Windows user, this App is an absolute necessity... just buy it! Due to my inxperience with Mac, I had an issue with the menulet disappearing at each startup. (... didn't know I could get to Preferences by clicking on the menulet and selecting "Load on Startup") The developers answered my question quickly and succinctly. I found even more capability then expected... colored icon (green for Caps Off, red for Caps On), duration of the Icon display, and turning a tone on or off. Works great on my Macbook Pro M1.

For future readers:
This user initially had a problem launching CapsLocker on login. He tried to reach out to us using the contact form on our website. However, the contact form was broken at that time, leaving him no choice than to write a two-star review pointing out those things.
Meanwhile, he is able to launch CapsLocker automatically and we fixed our contact form.

First of all, I’m very sorry for the bad experience you had so far!
To make CapsLocker launch automatically when you log in, please open its preferences (by clicking on the menu bar item and selecting the preferences menu entry) and enable the corresponding switch.
If that’s already the case, please write us at capslocker@sersoft.de and we’ll try to get to the bottom of why this isn’t working for you!

And thanks for the heads up about our contact form! That’s really unfortunate! I’ll make sure we get that fixed!
