Great port, little to no complaints

I’m probably saying this wrong, but this is an awesome port. It did crash once on me, but I haven’t had anything like that happen again. As a previous review stated you can download mods from github and upload them to your files. I personally downloaded a few tile sets. The only complaint I have (and it is so minor, but to me fundamental) is the ui. I think it’s good for new players considering that this game can be overwhelming at first, but it back fires a bit. Hear me out, all I’m saying is that it overlaps the game screen. What I mean is, sometimes I want to see an option or read an item, but the ui covers bits of the screen and I have to use deductive reasoning to figure out what I’m reading. I know you can turn it off, I kind of prefer it on a cell phone. I guess if I could make one wish for a change it’s the ability to make the ui smaller or maybe make the whole thing shadowy like the directional controls. That’s it all in all this is a very good up to date port and it’s great to see that this game isn’t dead for Iphone

Thank you for your review.You can long-touch on a free place of the screen to make the UI completely transparent until you lift up your finger. Same applies when you scroll with scroll bars to the left/right.I know very good that the features are not highlighted the way they should, there's no tutorial on the port at the moment. And that's the very thing I'm working on now: the tutorial on iOS port features and another one on game learning itself, suitable for new players.

*UPDATED section for 1.1.1*This version is absolutely spectacular! For the first time ever, I really feel like I could feasibly play on iPad without the keyboard. The panning and zooming are just fantastic. I now prefer playing on iPad to playing on my laptop, just because it’s so much easier to look around on iPad now. Amazing work. Can’t wait to see what’s next!*Original review*If you’re here reading these reviews, chances are you already know what CDDA is, so I won’t waste your time talking about the game.What needs to be lauded is the developer’s quiet inclusion of Files support in his port to iOS. Do you play on PC already? Do you have a favorite tileset, soundpack, or mod? Use the Files app by itself or in conjunction with iCloud Drive to install those favorite things right into CDDAs usual file structure. It’s all visible right there in Apple’s Files app.BRAVO! I’m playing with @‘s soundpack and MSXUndeadPeople on my iPad! This is ridiculous, and I love it.iPad users would do well to get themselves a Bluetooth keyboard with a numeric keypad. I had one laying around, and now I’m playing CDDA on my iPad in exactly the same way I would be playing on my PC - but with the convenience and portability of a tablet. Man, it’s great!Developer is active on r/CataclysmDDA, and has a clear love for the game. I can’t wait until he comes up with a way for us to reward him for his hard work.Thank you!!

I’m so glad to see this game on the apple play store and it works perfectly fine and it’s easy to use this is on of the best Open world rougelike Zombie games out here right now and it’s on a freaking iPhone now i’m definitely going to keep this app on my iPhone for good man I can’t thank you enough for bringing this game to apple pIay store but I was wondering if your gonna add Dead people Tileset or is it a way to get it?I’ve been waiting to play dead_people again I was extremely when I saw this So I downloaded this app thinking I was gonna play with this tileset once again but if you know how to get it back please let me know And thank you 🙏 for this truly amazing game

In short, you need to download the archive from the link https://github.com/SomeDeadGuy/UndeadPeopleTileset/archive/master.zip directly to the device, unpack it and move the unpacked folder to the gfx folder in the game folder and restart the game. After that, you can select the UNDEAD_PEOPLE (NEW) tileset. Have a nice game

Yes there is a free version in the App Store but this version is very usable. This was my first time playing this game ever, and after a couple failed characters I made it 21 days before a Dissoluted Devourer outran me (seems wrong). Anyhow I just paid for 0.F, gladly, and will enjoy the newer version.I’m hoping the new version improves the interface a little. I need to be able to create custom shortcut buttons because I’m constantly toggling between keyboard and full screen. Also on iPhone 8 screen size some of the text is truncated off the bottom of the screen, like I can only see monsters listed that are north of me.

Thank you for your review. You can customise right panel by pressing "}" button to adapt it to your needs, like seeing monsters on compass. There are no definite plans currently to make customizable buttons, but a couple of ideas exist.It is very interesting for me why you keep switching between keyboard and screen? What are the game situations that lead to such inconvenience? What key sequences you have to push?
