Edit Markdown in place, review it locally, and bring in AI only when you choose. Chukke is a local-first Markdown workbench for developers who maintain prompts and technical documentation in repos. Open a folder as a workspace, or work with individual `.md`, `.markdown`, and `.txt` files in place. Chukke keeps Markdown as the source of truth, with Edit, Split, and Preview modes, outline navigation, formatting tools, save-conflict handling, and local export to PDF, single-file HTML, or Markdown. Model-ready helps you review and prepare prompts and documentation before you choose to share them. It runs deterministic local checks for structure, clarity, completeness, efficiency, spelling, readability, duplicate content, token budgets, and prompt completeness. You can inspect Source, Prepared, and Diff views, then apply only the changes you choose. Assist is optional and off until you configure a provider and model. When you do use it, Chukke shows the provider, endpoint, model, source scope, and exact Markdown payload before anything is sent. Supported providers include local Ollama, OpenAI-compatible services, Anthropic Claude, and Google Gemini. Chukke has no account, advertising, telemetry, or tracking. Support reports and sanitized diagnostics are user initiated.
