Pick a folder, hit Start. Classic Slideshow plays your photos fullscreen with adaptive 1–4 image layouts and optional pan or zoom motion.
Classic Slideshow brings back the simple pleasure of fullscreen photo slideshows on your Mac.
Pick one or more folders of photos. Classic Slideshow scans them, packs each batch into an adaptive 1, 2, 3, or 4-image layout based on the upcoming images' aspect ratios, and plays them fullscreen with smooth crossfades — no library to import, no metadata to clean up.
MULTIPLE FOLDERS
Combine several folders into one slideshow. Each folder tile has its own include-subfolders switch, and tiles can be removed with a single click. Library stats and the portrait/landscape breakdown aggregate across every chosen folder.
ADAPTIVE LAYOUTS
Six independently toggleable layouts: pairs of portraits, pairs or quads of landscapes, a portrait flanked by two landscapes, and singles — each picked from a clean miniature-thumbnail picker. Every batch is planned greedily from your queue so cells fill exactly with no awkward gaps.
KEN BURNS MOTION
Optional motion gives every image its own gentle life. Choose Linear Ken Burns — a smooth corner-to-corner pan over an oversized image — or Zoomed Ken Burns, which combines the pan with a zoom-in or zoom-out. Min and max zoom sliders dial in how much the image grows or shrinks across each slide. Or pick Fixed mode for the original still composition.
AUTO BACKGROUND
Letterbox areas can take each image's average color, so the screen edge always feels like part of the photo. Or pick a fixed shade — black, white, anything you like.

A clean three-column macOS layout: the folder list, library stats and Start button on the left; grouped Timing / Order / Motion / Backdrop cards in the middle; and the layout picker on the right.
PRIVACY FIRST
Classic Slideshow runs entirely on your Mac. No network access, no analytics, no tracking, no ads. Your photos and the folders you pick never leave your device.
LOCALIZED
English, German, and Spanish. Falls back to English on any other system language.

What's new in 1.2
• Multiple source folders — pick more than one folder per slideshow. Each folder tile has its own Include-subfolders switch, and additional tiles can be removed with a single click. The library count and orientation breakdown aggregate across all chosen folders.
• Ken Burns motion — choose between Linear Ken Burns (a smooth corner-to-corner pan over an oversized image) and Zoomed Ken Burns (pan combined with a zoom-in or zoom-out). The Zoomed mode adds Zoom min / Zoom max sliders so you can dial in how much the image grows or shrinks during each slide.
