Confusables helps you practice the small words that are easy to mix up when you write, like its and it's, your and you're, there, their and they're, then and than, who's and whose, lets and let's, lose and loose, accept and except, affect and effect, and could have instead of could of.
PRACTICE TEST
Each sentence has one word that doesn't belong. Find it, choose the word that should be there, and read a short explanation of why. One example shows you how it works, then the questions begin.
TAKE A QUIZ
Fill-in-the-blank questions. Choose the right word and you move straight to the next one. Your results show every answered question with your own answer marked.
WORKPLACE PRACTICE
40 sentences from everyday work, in four rounds of 10. Decide whether each sentence is right as written. If it isn't, find the word to change and choose its replacement. Each round ends with your score and a review of your answers.
HOW THE 100 QUESTIONS COME
Practice Test and Take A Quiz each have 100 questions, ten for every word group. They come in a random order that moves through all ten groups, and a question doesn't come back until you've seen them all, as long as the app stays open. After your first answer you can check your results at any time and then carry on. When you've seen every question, you can start over.
YOUR PROGRESS ISN'T SAVED
Answers and scores are kept only while you practice. Going back to Home clears the session you're in, and so does closing the app or iOS ending it in the background. Switching to another app for a moment keeps your place.
TRY YOUR OWN PHRASES
Write a short comment in a practice thread. When you tap Post, Confusables checks your words on your device and points out the ones that may need a second look. It never changes what you wrote and never posts for you. You decide whether to edit or post as written. Comments stay on your device and are not published anywhere.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN

- No ads, no tracking, no third-party analytics.
- Your practice writing stays on your device.
The checker looks at context, so it doesn't flag every occurrence of these words, and it can miss or misjudge a sentence. Treat it as a second pair of eyes, not an answer key.
