ContextDeck helps you reuse the background, decisions, preferences, and constraints you keep repeating to AI tools.
Capture text, Markdown, meeting notes, ChatGPT export snippets, or Obsidian notes. ContextDeck extracts candidate memories locally, then lets you review, edit, approve, or archive each one before it becomes long-term memory.
Approved memories can be organized into Context Spaces for projects, clients, writing, code, personal work, and other areas. Each memory card can include source evidence, type, sensitivity level, expiry, and the context it belongs to.
When you start a new AI task, generate a compact Context Pack and copy it into the tool you already use. Context Packs are designed to carry just enough background, constraints, source summaries, and safety notes to reduce repeated prompting without flooding the conversation.
ContextDeck is local-first:
- Your vault is stored on your Mac.
- No account is required.
- No cloud sync is required.
- Imports start only from files or folders you choose.
- Exports write only to destinations you choose.
- Extracted memories enter Candidate Inbox first.
- Private and restricted memories are excluded from Context Packs by default.
The Mac App Store version focuses on local memory capture, user-approved Candidate Inbox review, Context Spaces, and copy-ready Context Packs. The MCP Developer Bridge is not included in the Mac App Store build.
