I love the format and the simplicity. My partner has tried to use calendars before but gets too overwhelmed with the layout so eventually gives up. I used to use a different calendar app and was beginning to feel the same way. When we found this app it took us a few days to make the decision to subscribe. We love this app so much. We love that our schedules are aligned side by side and can see what free time we have. My partner loves to schedule dates. i think this app makes dates feel extra special with the diamond emoji and the request feature. When someone plans a date they are in charge of putting it in the calendar and the other half is asked to either accept or decline. This makes both of us feel special. It also helps continue the “asking out” part of planning dates.If I were to give any suggestions I would suggest adding more colors (maybe pastels). And including the overlap feature for more than just work. This app has a lovely feature where you can set your work hours. So it sows your working hours on the day schedule (in a light color) and you can add events (darker color) to show up within the set hours. This would be great as a feature for any event.

I have always been pretty decent at keeping track of my schedule in my head, and I used a paper planner as backup. Buuuuuut I got married and my husband was not able to have constant access to my paper planner if I was always carrying it with me. Plus, we needed a system to help us figure out what chores needed doing and which groceries needed buying. This has been the PERFECT solution.I’ve never paid for an app before, but this one has been so worth it. It’s not one that I open constantly, usually just enough to update it (my schedule, random groceries I’m remembering we need, etc) and see if there’s anything out of the ordinary in my husband’s schedule, but the little amount of time I invest in keeping that system afloat has made life feel so much more organized and made the transition into living together a million times easier than I think it would have otherwise.Also, if you’re a returned missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and are missing your AreaBook/PMG app, THIS IS YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND! Closest thing I’ve found to Area Book. Your stuff and your spouse’s stuff are in different colors, and your combined stuff is in a third color, but you can add colored tags for different categories of events - I have a tag for work, one for church stuff, one for school related things, one for social - and those show up on the calendar view so you can sort your activities by color. My Cupla wishlist: budget tracker and goal tracker. If those were added, I think this app might be too powerful 😂 it’s the best!

We tried this app because honestly , Google Calendar stinks. It has served its purpose well and if you are a busy couple like us, it really does keep our schedules synced and legible. I am a developer myself so if I could provide any useful feedback - less is always more when it comes to interfaces. The interface is “busy” and has too many options. I think if it was simpler it might attract more users. Google calendar is horrible because the menus are ridiculous - one should not have to navigate through several screens to add an event. I think trying to accommodate all users actually hurts the ones trying to use this app specifically as a couple. Overall I still give it 5 stars as this is without question the best calendar app for couples out there - and its low cost or even free in most cases. Kudos to the developer and keep up the good work.
