Turn Your Smartphone into a Smart dashboard Camera to Report Traffic Violations to the Police The dashcamUa app transforms a driver's smartphone into a smart dashboard camera. Now, whenever you witness a dangerous traffic violation, you can save the last 30 seconds of video and send it as evidence to the police. Currently, the app is in a testing phase. Videos from users are reviewed by our administrators and sent to the departments of the National Police of Ukraine on behalf of our Public Organization. This ensures the anonymity of the reports. There have already been instances where the police have issued protocols and fines based on our reports, and the number of such cases is growing. Together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, lawyers, the National Police, and members of the Verkhovna Rada, we have submitted and registered a Bill in the Parliament of Ukraine to amend Ukrainian legislation. These changes will allow the dashcamUa system to be used similarly to automated speed cameras, issuing fines directly to the vehicle owner. Our Goals: - Inevitability of Punishment: It doesn't matter if there are police or cameras on the road. All drivers around can see traffic violations, so the violator will be punished for endangering others on a road. - Equality for the Law: It doesn't matter who you are if you violate traffic rules. Whether it's a Member of Parliament, police officer, minister, or judge, they must be held accountable for their actions just like any other citizen of Ukraine. - Principle of Transparency: Information about violations transmitted through the dashcamUa app to the police is protected and transparent. The applicant can track the status and other details of their reports in real time. - Minimal Costs: The system is completely free for all citizens. The state will only need minimal expenses to process data from the dashcamUa system. It can be launched in just one day and cover all roads in Ukraine. - Reward: After the legislative changes are adopted, each user who submits a report to the police through the dashcamUa app will receive a reward of 10% of the fine paid by the violator. This reward can be withdrawn to a bank card or donated to charity. How Does the App Work? - A smartphone with the dashcamUa app constantly records 30-second videos in a loop. When 30 seconds pass, the previous video is erased, and a new one begins recording. - When a driver sees a violation on the road, they just need to tap the screen to save the last 30 seconds of video in the app. Later, the user can quickly send the video to the police, specifying the violator's car number and type of violation. - When the police process the request and collect the fine, 10% of the amount will go to the user who submitted the report (reward payments will start after the legislative changes are adopted). This will be the best confirmation that the violator has been punished. The app has multiple layers of protection against fraud and falsification. Additionally, dashcamUa supports data transparency, so drivers get the status notifications for all their reports sent to the police through the app. Currently, the app is in active testing mode. You can already use it to send reports.
