This app, compared to other AI apps I’ve used, gives some impressive results along with short wait times to see those results. The app offers plenty of filters, but I mainly use just a handful for most of my images. In my opinion the premium version is certainly well worth investing in, for the added flexibility and higher image quality. The App’s main drawback is the user interface which is slow and cumbersome, to put it kindly. For example, there is no way to re-arrange the filters, which appear in a long line along the bottom of your screen forcing you to have to scroll through all of them to find the one you want to use. Frequently used filters should be re-arranged to the head of the line to speed things up. Also, the “My artworks” screen is nearly worthless and very time-consuming to edit and gives next to no useful information (e.g., what filter was used for the artwork image???) Also, while the premium version allows you to keep the colors from the original photo, to change back to the filter colors you have to dig deep into the setup screen each time, wasting more time. The user should be able to make ad hoc choice of colors decision for each image. To sum up, some excellent very striking results, but suffers from frustratingly awkward and slow user experience to get there.

I love this app you can create your own masterpiece! I have used for a long time. No other program compares ...easy to use ..fun to see what your pics will look like and you control how much of a paint effect you want.

I have had this app for years paid and all. My subscription ran out so I got the app or downloaded again and before I could do anything it prompts u to start the free trial and nothing else. This is what got me hooked in the first time but at least I was able to see a few effects before buying. The support has rested on their laurels or in a deep sleep. So before using this be prepared to pay up front even though 3 day trial should allow u to do as it states they gave a better more corrupt plan. There are too many other apps that are more effective and more supportive than to use or be used!

I purchased this app after reading the good review in the New York Times. The effects are attractive, but this product is incompatible with IOS13 or has some other defects because I was unable to purchase any of the print products, including the high-res print file that the app offers. Julia of Service and Support at Deep Art Effects was initially responsive when I wrote asking what I was doing wrong, but after our second exchange four days ago, she has gone silent. Because this product did not work for me, and I have wasted money and a significant amount of time on it, I can only urge future buyers to beware.
