I’ve had this thing for years and I’ve been able to safely store my crypto since. I’m a pretty anxious person, and obviously self custody will always make me more nervous. However, I fully trust this wallet and the development team behind it. I haven’t had any issue with the wallet itself; mostly the App which can cause issues at times. But, every issue I’ve had the development team has been able to help me out in fixing the issues (though sometimes it can take a couple of days). For me that’s not an issue, because I’m using it as a cold wallet. I’m not attempting to move funds frequently.I have another cold wallet, which I don’t use because I no longer trust the company or the technology. You will have to put some level of trust into every wallet you buy; but so far they have shown that they are a company that cares about security and their customers.

I started socking money away on this thing Dec. 2020 and when I wanted to move some out I couldn’t remember my password. I guessed and unknowingly I created another profile when I actually thought I’d logged in. I tried sending money out but received error messages. Now I understand why. In the middle of this process all of the balances disappeared on the assets tab. Literally went blank. So now the page I used to track my balances as they grew in the different coins I owned, now was literally blank. I know I was looking at the right profile too because I could view the balances on another link/tab that showed me a pie chart instead. I know my coins are still there thanks to the blockchain explorer but the mnemonics will only bring up the second “profile” I’d created!! Not the original one with all my money! Customer service is basically non existent. After time on Reddit and speaking with Ellipal’s COMPETITORS customer service I have been led to believe that I must have created a “passphrase” when I initially set it up. I don’t think I did, I don’t think I would do that. Regardless it’s my only hope that I can think of. I will be trying every possible combination of “passphrase” that I can think of. I would have rather gotten a device that doesn’t require an app to help it perform its function, but that’s not the issue within my review. My issue is that as of 3.0 I am now receiving unsolicited advertisements for the device through the app, which I keep notifications on so I know the status of transactions. There is no option to opt out of these ads, and with the recent UI overhaul the advertising banner takes up half the screen. It’s honestly a baffling choice to me as a consumer why they are trying to sell me a product I already own that their app requires in the first place to run. If I was able to refund this device, I would, but security is my #1 concern and returning a used wallet, even cleared of keys, could be compromising. In addition to my tirade against forced advertisement, the wallet still supports a paltry amount of tokens despite billing itself as professional and actively working to bring additional programs to the wallet. As of the 3.0.0 update the token count has not increased and I have spent money on this wallet. Please get any other hardware wallet, at least one that takes more than 50% of your desired tokens. I’m stuck with this one for now.*Update: I received a response from the developer informing me that tokens can be submitted. While this is fine, it still does not address my main concern that I am still receiving advertisement notifications at inappropriate hours through the app, and I want to turn them off. If Ellipal doesn’t turn off the ads with their next update, I will be moving my coins to a different wallet and destroying my Titan. This is unacceptable treatment of their current customers, and I am now downgrading my review to one star.

I’m having an issue with my ELLIPAL wallet and I’m hoping someone can help.I’m trying to send Bitcoin from my ELLIPAL wallet to my Kraken account. I’ve completed the transaction process, scanned all the unsigned QR codes with my cold wallet, signed the transaction, and scanned the signed QR codes back into the ELLIPAL app.However, after completing the QR scan process, the app keeps showing the same error message:“Please check your network connection and try again.”I have already tried multiple troubleshooting steps:* Checked my internet connection* Switched between Wi-Fi and cellular data* Restarted the ELLIPAL app* Tried reconnecting the ELLIPAL app to the Hard wallet* Recreated the transaction* Verified the receiving address* Checked that my wallet/app are updated to its latest versionThe issue still occurs at the final step when the app attempts to broadcast the signed transaction.My concern is that the transaction is being successfully signed on the cold wallet, but the ELLIPAL app is unable to broadcast it to the Bitcoin network.
