Where is our planet heading? 11 environmental and climate metrics to 2050 in three scenarios, plus environment news from around the world on a rotating globe.
Erdblick shows where our planet is heading – on the big screen, at a glance.
11 environmental and climate metrics in three categories:
• Climate: greenhouse gas emissions, temperature rise, renewable energy, sea temperature
• Nature & Resources: species extinction, water demand, forest area, plastic waste
• People & Society: world population, water stress, displacement by natural disasters
Move through the years from 2026 to 2050 and compare three scenarios: optimistic, moderate and pessimistic. A fan chart shows all metrics at once as change from their baseline, and the time-lapse plays the years for you. Trend lines show the history wherever real data exists.
The news globe shows environment-related news from around the world: 15 reports at a time, a new selection every three hours, translated by AI. Pause a story to read the full summary. A QR code leads to all reports and the interactive map on ahlers.at.
Honest numbers: every figure comes from a real, citable source, and each card names it (for example Climate Action Tracker, IIASA, UN, FAO, World Bank, WRI, IDMC, Met Office, Ember, Our World in Data). Values for future years are projections or extrapolations of real data, not measurements, and are marked as such. Where scenarios are not comparable, the app says so.
The remaining global CO₂ budget for the 1.5 °C or 2 °C target counts down live at the top of the screen.
Erdblick is free, needs no account and does no tracking. It follows your Apple TV language: German or English.

Erdblick now speaks English: the app follows your Apple TV language – German on German systems, English everywhere else.
• New: a clear note on greenhouse gases in the pessimistic scenario (CO₂ only, not comparable with the other two scenarios), with the correct unit and source
• News globe: a fresh selection every three hours, with a countdown
• Fixes: texts on the cards are no longer cut off
