Though my wired connection is prioritized, I wanted something to let me know if my slightly wonky phycial connection got jostled. This does just that. When the ethernet fails, my machine defaults to WiFi backup, but it's good to know that's happened. Thanks! Only problem I have is doesn't play well when hidden with Bartender. If I set it to show for updates, that doesn't seem to work. So I just leave it visible all the time.

This does exactly what it says it does. Icon changes both actual icon and color when ethernet is disconnected. Only thing I could suggest is a notification when ethernet is disconnected, to alert when the connection is lost. Other than that, this is simple, lightweight, optimised for M1, and just works. Great job.

I’ve had this installed on multiple machines for years. It’s been a great utility. But after a recent power outage, it has stopped working. Even though the power and internet came back on, the menu bar says there is no cable attached. Yet, network preferences shows that I have 2 active ethernet connections, attached via Thunderbolt docks. I have the same problem on an old iMac – cable is plugged in to the ethernet port, but the Ethernet Menu doesn’t recognize it.

The app is excellent, however it cannot display Simplified Chinese, it can only support Traditional Chinese now. I cannot find a way to choose display language. Is it possible to fix the problem?
