UPDATE HIGHLIGHTS Thank you for your continued dedication to re-greening the planet by playing EverForest! Our latest update is huge. The gameplay is tighter, the restorations are bigger, and much of the community’s feedback has been incorporated. We believe this sets us on a path for being able to provide lots of new content, new limited time events, and most of all, get even more trees planted. As such, we’ve made the difficult decision to reset player progress and currencies. This is something we don’t take lightly as we understand the impact it causes. To make up for this, your past efforts are being honored: - All of the trees you’ve planted are still there and can be seen after finishing the tutorial. - All returning players have received a unique FREE chest in the Store to help you restart strong (unlock the Store at Player Level 4 to receive it). - For those who have spent real money, past purchases have been reimbursed (and then some). We hope you enjoy this major update, and we look forward to your feedback as we improve the experience from here on out! NEW EVERFOREST EXPERIENCE Our goal with this update is to make restoring the forest feel great by ensuring players know what they are working toward and when that next real tree is going to be planted. To accomplish these goals, we've streamlined the experience. - Quests now award EverDust which is used to restore and transform areas of the forest. - We've updated the landscape to ensure restorations feel that much more rewarding. - Our new currency, Eco, replaces what EverDust was previously used for - leveling up animals and buying select items from the Store. ANIMAL GIFTING UPDATE We’ve updated the gifting system to make it easier to get the items you need, when you need them. Each animal will now return a specific item produced by their generators when you give them a gift. Any item can be gifted to get what you need, but gifting their favorite items will return higher-level rewards. Common animals return the basic item from their generator and Rare animals return the rare item from their generator. In addition, you no longer need to give gifts to get the hearts you need to level-up an animal. You’ll get all the hearts needed to level-up your animals just by completing quests, restoring the forest, and increasing your player level. Finally, we have removed the special items awarded by animals, freeing up space in your backpack and making the game easier to understand. STORAGE POCKET INDICATES WHEN IT CONTAINS A REQUIRED ITEM We’ve updated the storage pocket to indicate when it contains an item that you need to complete a quest to ensure you don’t spend time creating an item you already have. New Merge Item: Animal Special Gifts Earn Animal Special Gifts from the weekly EverForest Bingo event and give the perfect gift to your animal friends. Changes to Animal Quests: In response to player feedback, we’ve made a big change to our quest system. Previously, when you befriended an animal, their quests were always available to you. We heard from players this was overwhelming to have sooo many quests available at once. In an effort to help streamline player focus, players don’t unlock animal quests until player level 10 now, and only batches of them become available. In order to unlock more batches, you need to level up that animal - revealing more of their quests and storyline! Time Skip Improvements: Time Skips now restore energy based on the size of the time skip used (up to your player level energy maximum). In addition, Time Skips can now be split. New Checklist: A new checklist is available with new rewards. Look for the Professional Checklist after you have completed the 2nd checklist: Advanced. Visual Improvements: Mystical Mountain We’ve updated the art and visual progression of the Mystical Mountain (Zone 2). We’ve made some big changes to how you interact with and level-up animals in EverForest. - Animals have replaced plantables on your merge board. Tap on the animals to collect items for your backpack! - No more animal snacks. Animals no longer require snacks to level them up. Instead, build your relationship with the animals using Hearts. Hearts are earned by completing the animal’s quests and giving them gifts. - Animals can support each other. As you level-up animals, they will help the original animals on your merge board be more productive. * Common Animals - Appear on your merge board as you progress through the EverForest and help you collect new merge items. Level them up to collect more items before they need a rest. * Uncommon Animals - Help your common animals occasionally find higher level merge items in the EverForest. Level them up to increase your chances at even higher level merge items. * Rare Animals - Reduce the amount of rest your common animals need before being ready to collect items in the EverForest. Level them up to continue to decrease the rest time of your common animals. * Legendary Animals - Increase the amount of items your common animals can collect and decrease the amount of rest they need! New Early Experience in the EverForest - More Energy, Sun, Water and Wind! We’ve made lots of changes and adjustments to the EverForest experience - all to help provide a smoother first experience! - B Slug can collect a lot more Sun, Water, and Wind (twice as much as before) - Players have more energy to help restore the Forest faster . Player Reset. With all of these great early game updates, an important change became necessary for some players. If this is your first time returning to the EverForest in a significant amount of time or you haven’t previously reached Player Level 10, you will find your progress set back to the start of the game. For good reason! We’re excited by the changes we have made based on player feedback to the experience in EverForest and we feel it’s better if you play through these changes right from the start. It will make your experience later in the gameplay so much better. Read on to learn more about what is changing since you last played. Any trees you have previously planted while playing EverForest will be maintained with your account / device. New EverForest Zone Maps and Collectable Items - We’ve added maps to help you see your progress through each of the zones in the Forest. Follow the maps to help the Forest grow and thrive while also getting a glimpse of new animals you will meet along the way. - We’ve increased the visual impact you are having on the animals, their homes, and the forest itself! - Keep an eye out in the Forest as it grows. Every once in a while, various plants around the Forest might produce items you are looking for. EverTree Magic Quests! Need a little more EverDust or even Diamonds? Keep an eye out for the EverTree Magic quests - repeatable quests that help you turn Sun, Water and Wind into EverDust and Diamonds! Splitting is Now Free! We’ve removed the 5 EverDust cost to split merge objects. You can now split merge objects into their lower level objects for FREE! Suspended Very Important Planter (VIP) Subscription. Thank you to everyone who participated in our VIP program in the past. New tuning and economy balance Indication of receiving special merge objects from quests and gifting EVERFOREST CHECKLISTS We’ve added new checklists that help you track your progress and provide Real Tree Points as you play to plant your first and second tree as well as work through Limited Time Quests. NEW LIMITED TIME QUEST WITH ADDITIONAL BONUS TREE FROM RARE (https://rare.org/) After you have planted your first real tree by completing and collecting the rewards for your first EverForest Checklist, keep your eye out for Bitty the Coastal Tailed Frog. Complete all of Bitty’s quests and you’ll earn a real tree. In addition, Rare will be awarding you an additional 2000 Real Tree Points to plant a second tree! Complete this quest before January 6th! QUEST LIST UPDATE We’ve made some updates to how the quest lists looks and functions when new tasks are added and you hand in merge objects to complete quests. We’ve also removed some of the steps required to complete quests from your backpack. There is now a visual indicator on the quest that helps you differentiate which quests will help you make progress on which zone of the forest! NEW CREATURE QUESTS We’ve added additional creature quests for our rare creatures. You can now level up Umi the Spotted Owl, Dante the Razor Clam and Milo the Sea Otter to level 7. Level them up to get additional generator merge objects as well as unlock new creature quests. BACKPACK IMPROVEMENTS We’ve updated your backpack so that you can unlock more space in the main backpack sooner as you level up. Unlock your entire backpack by level 12. We’ve also updated the awards you get for unlocking space in your backpack. Level-up to receive valuable diamonds and time skips! We’ve updated our visual communication for items that can be split in your backpack. We received feedback that the red background made people unsure if splitting was a positive action to take - it is! New visuals when objects get added to your backpack. You can now remove a cloned merge object from your backpack rather than waiting for the timer to expire. You’ll even receive a small amount of EverDust! BUG FIXES Fixed issues with generators and energy not restoring while the player is away from the game. Fixed an issue where the 2nd Community Goal project for planting real trees was not allocating the last tree. Resolved issue where the gifting tutorial was not executing for players at level 9. BUG FIXES - Adjusted the tuning to reduce your need for water at levels 4 and 5. (This was unintentionally slowing down some players!) - Resolved an issue where some players were not able to turn off the sound / music. - Fixed an issue that was causing unexpected merge objects to appear in the backpack. - Fixed an issue where dragging a special merge object could cause it to disappear, blocking progress. - Resolved an issue which could cause a player to be issued a new PlayerID, resulting in loss of progress. - Improved overall game stability by fixing a number of issues that were causing the game to crash. - Fixed one case where the game stopped generating energy when the player left the game. We are aware there are more cases around generators and energy not always recharging and this is a top priority to fix ASAP. We improved the ability to navigate between groves in the My EverForest. We added new animations and visual effects to My EverForest including when you plant a tree. We updated the notification pips in My EverForest to help you see what items require attention. We made it easier to see when you earn Real Tree Points. NEW NOTIFICATIONS We’ve added some additional notifications so that you know when to come back EverForest. You can now get notifications when your energy has refilled and your generators have recharged. If you don’t have notifications enabled, you can always enable them via the Settings menu. MERGE ITEM DICTIONARY IMPROVEMENTS We’ve made improvements to the merge item dictionary, so you can see what objects make up a merge chain and which ones you need complete your current tasks. Also, we made it easier to see which items are currently available from the limited time EverDust store and made it easier for you to go straight to the EverDust store to get those items. IMPROVED PIP NOTIFICATIONS ON THE CREATURE COLLECTION The pip on the creature collection icon in your main menu bar will show how many creatures you can level up at this time based on your resources. This number will adjust as you earn / consume your snacks and EverDust and level up your creatures We updated the snack icons in the game so it is easier to understand which snacks are for which creatures. Welcome to the "Gifting Update". After Level 8, you can give gifts to the creatures in your EverForest. Simply drag any merge object to the gift slot in the top left of your merge board, head to the forest, and decide which animal should receive the gift. You’ll get different reactions for different gifts—and you’ll always get something in return. If it’s a creature’s favorite gift, they’ll give you their unique item in return. Can you discover every creature’s favorite gift? In addition we've made some small updates to the way we introduce Creature Quests and made some bug fixes including a fix where players generators weren't working properly when they were away from the game.

BeeBot may fly under the fog: At times, BeeBot may fly under the fog in the EverForest, making it difficult to spot. But it can still be tapped if you can find it! Can’t find BeeBot: Occasionally, BeeBot will fly through the EverForest in places where you can’t see or interact with them. Umi the Spotted Owl disappears: Occasionally Umi will disappear from the forest. (Hoo knows where she goes?!) If that happens, please restart the game and she should reappear. Game doesn’t progress while away! Occasionally, the game may not progress while you have it suspended or closed. If you start the game and then suspend / close it again, the issue should resolve. Invalid reward box timers: Some reward boxes will show a “Reward box ready to claim” timer. This can be ignored except on the free daily reward box. Stretching! On some devices the UI isn’t scaling properly, and things looked stretched. Creature sorting! Sorting your creature collection by creature level is not working properly. Invalid timers in the store: Occasionally, if you enter the store using another method other than tapping on the icon in the main tray at the bottom of the screen, the store timers may not report the correct values. Enter the store via the icon at the bottom of the screen and you’ll see the correct timer value.
