Unable to Save Pictures

So far the app is great, however why would the devs make it to where you can’t save pictures and videos to your library from the app!? You have to screenshot in order to save pictures

Unless photos are tagged and posted to the schools main feed parents can’t download photos. Famly should use standard iOS features in their app when you select a photo from anywhere in the app. The current feature puts an undue burden on teachers to tag stuff when it should just work when they post a pic in a direct message thread.The “security” explanation I saw from Famly doesn’t hold up at all. I can download pictures from the news feed, of other peoples kids, but can’t download pictures of my own kid from the DM section. This is just poorly thought out. Please fix it

You’ve raised a really valid point here, and I can totally see how frustrating that must be, especially when it’s your own child’s photos in a direct message that you can’t save 📸 You’re right that, currently, photo downloads are only available for pictures shared in the News feed or ones that are tagged and appear on your child’s profile. Unfortunately, photos sent via direct messages don’t have a download option at the moment. I hear you on the inconsistency, and I'll definitely share your feedback with the team. Confusing. No parental controls.

All the control of this app is by the provider. We left our school and there was no way to delete our account. Our former provider said she deleted us but our info is still there. As far as I can tell our info will be there forever. When I chose the “chat with us option” from the famly site they forwarded my question to our former providor. Which was awkward for personal reasons. Not a fan of this app. Am loving the similar “seesaw”
