TE is the pinnacle of hardware design, but their Field Kit software (for the TP-7) is incredibly lacking.For products at this price point, the clear love and attention that went into the hardware, you really want to see the software at least keep pace. It does not, unfortunately, even a year after release. Disappointed. Software is the "easy" part.

Perhaps a brief description of how to operate this software is in order.Launching the software results in an applet in the menu bar. Clicking this applet with one or more OP-1 Fields connected brings up a small menu to enable MTP transfer with those connected devices. Enabling transfer brings up a finder window that you expect.Alternatively, with the applet launched, go to the SHIFT COM menu on the OP-1F and select MTP to get the finder window open to the OP-1F device on your Mac.One thing: Using eject doesn't work- you need to either disable MTP on the OP1-F or the applet.(Monterey 12.5)

It never fails to amaze me when a company charges a fortune for a product and then completely fails to follow through with even minor things like hardware durability (the TP-7 recorder is completely flimsy, the headphone and input ports don’t hold jacks firmly, the wheel ticks loudly when it moves, etc.) and the software is total abandonware. It will not even *launch* on M-series Macs. This is totally unacceptable for a product at this price point. Teenage Engineering, over-promise, under-deliver. So sad. You could have been an amazing company, but you decided you could choose form or function, and you skimped on function.

MTP transfer is much faster/easier than the previous OP-1's standard USB connection. Running on an M1 Mac with Monterey OS. Unclear if Macs with Intel chips may be a problem, but OP-1 Field can also be connected as a standard USB device simply by holding Shift COM to access the connect menu, then Shift 4 to connect as "Disk" rather than MTP. 🤷🏻‍♂️
