Float is an open source app made for the boater community in the UK. Float is a free an open source app made for the boater community in the UK. If you own a boat and you navigate along the UK canals you need to keep moving unless you have a permanent mooring somewhere. With Float you can keep track of all of your locations you moored your boat to. You can set you current location as Home so you can easily know where is your boat and how to go back to. Quite useful after few pints ;) Float will tell you about your journey so you know how many places you stopped in the year and how many miles you covered. All these data are securely saved and nobody can access to it. If you want tough you can export it and send in case you need a proof of all the places you've been. Go to the Float website for more information if you want to read about the project. If you want to help to build the best boaters app please let us know.
