Friction adds a small, deliberate delay before the Safari sites that usually break your focus. It does not try to be a harsh blocker. It gives you one more conscious choice before habit takes over.
• START A FOCUS SESSION
Launch a 15, 30, 45, or 60 minute session from the Safari toolbar popup.
• BUILD A FRICTION LIST
Choose the domains that usually trigger mindless detours: video, social, shopping, news, or whatever breaks your deep work.
• PAUSE BEFORE THE PAGE LOADS
When a listed site opens during an active session, Friction shows a full-page pause screen before the site pulls you in.
• TIMED BYPASS, NOT TOTAL LOCK-IN
After the countdown finishes, you can continue intentionally for a short bypass window. Pro can require a note before that bypass starts.
