FlightScope Skills allows golfers to test their skills on Apple mobile devices using a FlightScope radar unit. It works by presenting a sequence of virtual targets in a session where golfers can hit shots to each target. Each shot is scored, based on its proximity to the target, and cumulated to give an overall score/performance for the session. The app is fully customizable. Golfers can create their own targets, based on shape, distance and size depending on their goal. Golfers can also create extra pressure during the session by adding a time limit and can have targets pop up randomly to mimic a real golf round. FlightScope Skills users will be able to upload and review their scores and data on MyFlightScope.com. This app can be used both indoors and outdoors. FlightScope Skills is the latest teaching aid from FlightScope to enable golfers to: - Track real-time measured data - Create and play custom skills challenges - Practice and benchmark with FlightScope Combines - Analyze scores/statistics - View FocusBand (mental training) integration data as they play - Compete, compare & share with friends on MyFlightScope.com - Play global competitions and earn a spot on one of the MyFlightScope.com leader boards This product is patented. This app looks like it is for the first version of iPhone and hasn’t been updated in a bit. I had a bit of a challenge logging into the App. They aren’t using the native keyboard and it doesn’t fit on the screen. Go to use Passwords and had to use voice to text because the keyboard cut off in half. But I did get in so now it is just a matter of playing with it. I am running on a iPhone 14 Pro Max. I will see how my iPad Pro does.

I’m running a mevo+ in my garage this winter and setup with the short indoor mode. Everything works great. There’s an occasional misread but honestly I was expecting more. The data imo is spot on. Im a 3 hdcp and know my distances fairly well. One thing to callout is making sure you’re setting the right altitude for where you usually play. For those looking for precision in the data that will definitely be key. The skills challenges are great. To me this target style approach is more effective than just hitting on a wide open range. I do like the FS Golf app but this is a better players tool imo. Another great feature is being able to create your own challenges and being able to have shot’s selected at random. Most can dial in a yardage after 5 straight tries, but having 1 try really helps you improve.

I’m running a mevo+ in my garage this winter and setup with the short indoor mode. Everything works great. There’s an occasional misread but honestly I was expecting more. The data imo is spot on. Im a 3 hdcp and know my distances fairly well. One thing to callout is making sure you’re setting the right altitude for where you usually play. For those looking for precision in the data that will definitely be key. The skills challenges are great. To me this target style approach is more effective than just hitting on a wide open range. I do like the FS Golf app but this is a better players tool imo. Another great feature is being able to create your own challenges and being able to have shot’s selected at random. Most can dial in a yardage after 5 straight tries, but having 1 try really helps you improve.

I don’t blame the super-frustrating problems all on FS Skills and FS Golf for iOS...I blame me. I’m sure the program works great, just not for me. For me, I tend to not use the app, or my expensive monitor, because I’ve been conditioned to get frustrated even before I start trying to make it all work together. So I just avoid the frustration by doing something else. I considered purchasing the full pc version because “maybe it works better!?”, then I came to my senses and realized that if the simple iOS version is a PITA, the complicated version will send me to the looney bin. I’ll go online and dig deeper, but expect the developers to foresee the issues I run in to.

Should be include in main fs app or redesigned to not look like it was from before the internet days. Great flexibility but up/ux needs to improve, should be easier (feasible) to delete sessions in the app, and the cloud app sync needs to significantly improve. This app will. E essential for the badger so functionality as the combines/ challenges are too limited on the core fs app. Merge or fix before badger ai comes out!
