To start off, my husband has a Samsung and has been playing this, which made me want to play it. His layout of the game is just different than mine on my IPhone . Which seems to give him a edge as he wins most of his battles. For instance he needs spy’s to see stats of gladiators and I can see stats from the beginning which makes buying a gladiator a bit easy for me. However, he can adjust gladiator weapons and armor from the start, where as I can’t. This makes things very hard for me as I can’t change weapons around to give a fights a better loyalty score or make a fighter fight with two swords so he can do more damage. He wishes he didn’t need spies and could do weapon training (apparently he needs to unlock this). When I go to the Ludis tab and pick a person , there is no tab to adjust the weapons or armor. Do I need to unlock it or upgrade something because I can’t find it.Also the game keeps crashing I can’t seem to stay on longer than 20 min.

So this is the best gladiator manager game. There’s no gameplay in which you actually control the gladiator, but that’s fine, it’s meant to test how well you can train up your gladiators. However the devs clearly do not understand statistics at all because I have on multiple occasions had 1 in a billion statistical anomalies. For example I send 30 gladiators to assassinate one rival gladiator, all in the same week, at a 25% success rate and absolutely none of them even touch the guy. This happens way more often than probability says it should. There also isn’t enough gems to buy every upgrade and it turns out if you aren’t careful and don’t plan the gem spending you can actually get stuck without being able to earn the rest of the achievable gems.

So to put it plain and simple I actually think this game is executed really well. I have been learning programming the past few months so I can create a game very similar to this but this developer beat me to it. Overall, the system is done really well. There is a learning curve but I was able to get past that within a full day of playing and unlock mostly everything. I do wish there was a bit more to this game but I do understand it is still early in development and am excited about what may be coming next. In the future I would like to see more types of beast, weapons, gladiators, and maybe even rivals, as well as another mode to play whether that be fighting or something else. I’m sure all of that will be coming soon. I believe this game has the potential to be Top 10 on any App Store and is overall great conceptually and gameplay wise.

This game is built against the player in more ways than one, if you love getting kicked in the balls every week by an unavoidable event that ends with an always a very significant negative impact on your gameplay. Masochists dream game right here! Like if Grimdark met the coliseum. Try tetraides for your first gladiator, he is a good murmillo!Game has extreme potential but is held back by its constant negative events. Many can be turned positive but that’s only if you have the influence/gold to spare. It’s not very easy to keep up a stock of gold if every other event takes half of your entire budget. Gold is rather difficult to produce, at week 23 my Tetraides died to three barbarian raiders attacking and while that was my fault for sending him to his death, I felt it was impossible to start back up and was too far behind because I had less than 50 gold due to previous gold-draining events, overly expensive upgrades, an all around difficult time just to make money, and now no gladiator. Had 2 lions, but discovered that they aren’t that great…
