Going to the Playground is an app for the iOS platform to use with a regular 9.7" iPad with clear tactile overlays held in place by a yellow frame. The app is a fun motivational way to teach young children, ages 3-5 orientation, directions such as, left, and right, in and out, up and down. Five overlays guide the child through a playground. There are three items for the child to find a mary-go-round, sandbox and monkey bars. The overlays have braille above each playground item, a title, and a page number in the bottom right corner to teach pre braille skills. The app is self-voicing and provides instructions on how to use the app with the overlays. Bold and bright colors brighten the playground experience. A QR code label comes with the materials to download the app from the App Store for iPad use. Enjoy playing while learning!
