Gravity is a fast, private notes app with one stream, instant capture, and a simple rule: swipe to bump what matters back to the top.
You open your notes app to jot down a quick idea. But first: which folder? What tags? Should you link it to something? By the time you've decided, the thought is gone.
Gravity eliminates every barrier between your thoughts and the page. No folders. No tags. No complex systems to maintain. Just one continuous stream, and your attention decides what stays relevant.
- Syncs privately via your personal iCloud account. No third-party servers.
- No account required. No sign-up. No tracking.
- One-time purchase. No subscription. No ads.
HOW IT WORKS
Append — Open the app and start typing. Your note saves automatically. No tapping "new note." No choosing a location. Just capture
Review — Scroll through your stream. New notes live at the top. Older notes naturally drift down over time, like thoughts settling in your mind.
Rescue — When something catches your attention, swipe right to bump it back to the top. Your attention becomes your organization system.
Archive — When a note has served its purpose, swipe left. Done.

INSPIRED BY SIMPLICITY
Gravity is built around Andrej Karpathy's append-and-review method for personal notes: keep one running stream, review it periodically, and let your attention decide what stays relevant. Most notes apps tolerate this workflow. Gravity is designed for it.

Pay once. No subscription. No in-app purchases. No ads. Just a thoughtfully crafted notes app that respects your attention and your wallet.
Stop organizing. Start thinking.
Download Gravity and let your thoughts sink in.
UI is fantastic and I appreciate the simplicity of the note-taking process. I do love organizing things in folders, but sometimes it's just nice to jot things down as is. I do want to suggest adding a dark mode and option to pin certain notes that I really don't want to miss! Like for anything particularly important for that day. Maybe something like being able to at least pin 1-3 at a time. It could also be that the "gravity" feature of the app is very unique and it's something I just need to get used to. Another suggestion would be to have an option in settings where you can toggle if you press the enter key, then instead of indentating it ends up posting the note. I feel like this, for me at least, would allow quicker thought dumps!Overall the app has a ton of potential and I'm very much looking forward to the future development of it. I'd even say it could be ADHD-friendly considering for me putting down something in this fashion is really helpful. Will definitely be following along and I can't wait to see what future updates bring!

Thank you very much for your review and suggestions. Dark mode is in the works (I want it to be as beautiful as light mode). As for pinning notes, I will have to think about it. It does go against the concept slightly, and perhaps puts the app at risk of "feature creep", where more and more features are added depending on what users what, resulting in just another notes app. But I appreciate the comment nonetheless. As for quickly saving notes, try hitting enter twice ;)
Wow

This is an amazing app., it helps me remember to do certain tasks, it is easy to use, has lots of features and works! The app even saves deleted tasks in case you made a mistake. I can’t wait to see where this app goes. Buy it , it is powerful, easy to use and the price is right

I admit, when an app was touted as simple, I was a bit worried it would be lacking. But I am finding it to be just what I needed. No extra junk to wade through to figure out how to use it. I like that you can bump a note to the top of the feed, and it’s very easy to search for keywords.

Just what’s needed, without a lot of bloat. I’d love to have this sync across devices. Thanks for developing this. (Learned about this app and your work on Reddit)
