HP Pro All in One 9125e - Not Bad Folks

I put this newly installed printer (HP 9125e) to the down and dirty workout! I had initally had problem with connectiviity to WIFI, but after an hour on phone with HP, it was resolved. Now, all iPhones and PC's (MAC) work seamlessly to print! I scanned over 2GB of documents that the printer saved on my desktop as pdf. I mean that is hundreds of document (it scans multiple documents on both sides too) for a 2-day period and over many hours and while it took time, since scanner takes about 45 seconds to scan a single document, both sides. The printer looks modern, but the power button is a bit flimsy along with the frong panel, but it seems to do the job. So, bottomline for $200 what do you expect? It gets the job done and I placed the printer on the other side of the house in our office and we can print using an iPhone or PC to print without any hiccup. Overall 4 STARS! I would give it 5 STARS if the set up would have been easier and I had to go on line to disute my warranty which reads I bought the printer in May 2024, but I actually bought it in August 2024 and the product box and online says it comes with 2 year warranty, but the website I had to set up an HP account for this printer only gives you a 1-year, limited warranty. Lastly, you get 3 months of ink free BUT you have to sign up for a subscription and you have to cancel it at the 3 month period, if you choose not to have it after this period. HP where is my full warranty period as advertised?
Utter Crap
To fool with a Fool
iI cannot believe how crappy HP has gotten. I only wanted an updated printer driver since the driver that came with the printer had problems, e.g. it would not print more than one copy of anything. Also it refused to print some documents. I went to the HP web site and could not find a driver for M227 - M231. There was also no search slot for entering my printer. I made a stab and clicked on what looked like the most generic printer no. in my category. A screen came on touting Easy Start and since there was no other option I followed the ensuing instructions. I continued with registration, but that was not enough I had to set up an account which required me to agree to receiving HP ads . I continued through the account setup process and at the end was told the process couldn't be completed, come back later. I went back to my computer applications and found that Easy Start was there but not usable until I signed up for an account. So I re registered for the account and after completion received the message that I already had an account. I then tried to print and easy start opened up documents folder for me, not what I wanted to print and I didn't see a way to print the document that I wanted. Eventually I was able to select and print the document that I wanted but still unable to print the document that led me to try to find a newer driver. In the meantime I spent a frustrating half afternoon going on a wild goose chase and not solving my original problem. I don't plan to look for my next printer or computer hardware at HP.
Not good...

I have just upgraded my MacBook Pro to OS12. I looked around to make sure I had the most recent printer drivers for my HP Color Laser Jet MFP M281fdw. (BTW, the printer has been reliable for the several years I havve owned it.) I orginally used HP Easy Start to set it up. (While I had no issues my wife's computer, another Mac Book Pro, has had intermittent print issues that I have not seemed to be able to cure.) When I looked at the driver versions on the HP support site I found there was an update and decided to update my computer to see if it would provide better support. During the install process the Easy Start software recommended I use HP Smart as the better alternative. I dowloaded HP Smart and found it did not check for a previous driver installation and had me register my printer (which was done when I first bought it) as well as trying to get me to overwrite the curently working driver. I launched it and when I selected scan I was informed that I would have to set up an account. I exited the program and have deleted it. I will still use Easy Scan, with its peculiarities for small jobs and my larger, flat bed Epson scanner for large jobs. I am convinced that HP has NO idea how to handle a Mac and would love us all to use Windows (not happening here!). In summary the printer is worth four stars but the supplied software is only worth ONE. Oh, HP some progress bars and log information as the software downloads and installs would be VERY HELPFUL. (I wonder if HP actually reads these... Probably not...)
Glitchy and no help when customers need it

My printer would flash an error after every print job and have to be totally restarted every time. Spent over 8 months trying to fix it and trying to get in contact with someone to help and every response I got just kept saying udate the software and the app. But when i did that, the app would tell me i needed to registermy account and printer for "auto re-fill" in order to use the printer. That requirement was never mentioned when i bought the printer and it did not require this for the first year of use. I did give in an registered y account and printer for that service. BUT the app would not recognize that I had done it and kept giving me the same issues and same response as before. I would try to cancel the account and re-sign up, but it would tell me i had one already and that i was good to print. Spent another three months trying to get answers from customer service and got no help at all except for someone telling me it was a glitch of some kind something, but offering now , so I ended up having to get rid of the perfectly good (and expensive) printer because of some new requirement with this app and HP and cutomer service was useless.
HP Smart is now HP app! We redesigned the app for a simpler, more convenient experience. You can still print and scan from your HP printer, but we added more features with personalized recommendations to enhance your experience.
