Welcome to MR2 Check, an app that deciphers engine fault codes for the 1991 MR2, engines 3S-GTE, 3S-GE, and 5S-FE.
MR2 owners know diagnosing their vehicle requires setting a jumper pin and interpreting flashes on the instrument panel's check-engine light. This app, MR2 Check, makes looking up the code no further than your iPhone.
Select your engine, enter the code or codes (space separated), and press "LOOK UP." Enter the code 100 to see descriptions of all codes for the selected engine.
You can also enter the code by pressing the "BLINK" button while matching the blink pattern on the check-engine light. This takes a little practice to get the timing right, and it helps to record two cycles for better accuracy.
