Briefs + exam prep materials = worth it. Lectures are average but do have nice visual components.

It’s a must have for law school. Best comprehensive and most in-depth case briefs of any supplemental law school site. Great for review or checking your ability to pull relevant facts, issue, rule, analysis, etc. And also great for those times when you just can’t bring yourself to open the casebook.

The multiple choice and short answer essay prompts are great for review and exam prep. Independent practice of applying the doctrines learned in class are scarce to non-existent. I also find the flash card feature and outlines helpful, but these aren’t too dissimilar from any commercial outline you can probably get for free at your law school (Barbari, etc.).

The content of the lectures could be more comprehensive. It’d be nice if they provided an index of frequently cited cases for the topic of discussion. This would allow students to read fact patterns in which the issue/topic of discussion arose. The lectures seem to be an “outline” read aloud. They do have solid illustrations, though, which I find helpful as a visual learner.

Incredibly helpful for law school!

Easy to understand, well-made videos that highlight the important elements of each case as well as explaining the precedent of the case wonderfully. Not only does it have great case videos, but it also has video modules on major law school classes (civ pro, torts, contracts, etc.) that explain the general topics of the class, and includes quizzes to test yourself. You can also look up foreign law jargon with an understandable explanation of the vocabulary. Unfortunately this does come with a less than ideal price tag, but to me it was worth it. Highly recommend!

Could be Better for Law Students

I have subscribed to this website for the most part of law school. It helps with briefing cases and interpreting the the rule of law.
I found that over the years Quimbee has improved the their website significantly. The problem I have is that Quimbee charges per outline and it becomes costly. They should have discounts for law students. We are paying student loans that some students will be paying for a lifetime. It’s very expensive to attend law school nowadays.
Quimbee should have package deals for their study items. I would love to utilize their outlines but I can’t afford to pay per outline. I would like to see the outlines as a separate package deal and it be affordable for students. I used their MPRE outline that they offer for free and it’s very informative and helpful. I’m just saddened to say that I can’t utilize the other outlines on this website. Some of us are older students that have mortgages and children to support.
I would like to see this change so all law students can access the entire website at an affordable price.

Thanks for stopping by, Word! Sorry for the confusion here. Online access to our outlines is actually included in our Gold Plan. If you would prefer to download them, we do offer a discount to Gold users. Thanks so much! 😃 - Tara
