After two days I signed up for the Premium membership and I discovered a ton of additional great tools. No, I am not a salesman. I have tried to learn the piano on and off for about 40 years. This app caught my attention right away. I have a MIDI piano and this app gives me choices like assessments and their SARS ( or something like that, I just click on it 😁). I can challenge myself, learn whenever I have a minute and get judged by a computer who does a pretty accurate job ( first time I accept criticism and I am a ship captain). Finally someone took advantage of the technical possibilities of the internet to teach others! That in itself is worth a 5 stars rating. You just drudge along with the curriculum, pick some additional stuff out of the library and learning piano turns finally into FUN! To take full advantage of this app you should be an independent person who doesn’t need 100% guidance or others to tell you what to do. If you can make your own choices you will love this app!
Great App, hope to be better

I would like to start by saying that Piano Marvel is an outstanding platform for piano learners. The structured curriculum, interactive feedback, and systematic training approach make daily practice both effective and motivating. It is clear that a great deal of pedagogical thought has gone into the design, and it truly supports long-term skill development. That said, I hope to offer a few constructive suggestions that could further enhance the user experience:1. Score accuracy and notation adjustmentsSome scores appear to contain minor errors or inconsistencies. When these issues are reported, the response from technical support is often very slow — and sometimes there is no follow-up at all. Additionally, certain fingerings seem unreasonable and could benefit from review by pedagogical experts. I also noticed that grace notes are occasionally treated as regular notes by the system, which affects assessment accuracy.2. Technical support responsivenessOn several occasions, I submitted feedback about technical problems but never received a resolution. Improving the responsiveness and accountability of the technical team would significantly increase user trust and satisfaction.Overall, Piano Marvel is a powerful learning tool with tremendous potential. Strengthening score quality control and support responsiveness would make the platform even more exceptional.

I got this app about 2 months ago. Originally, I was very pleased with the app and saw great improvement in my practice and progress. I was working out of the Alfreds Adult All in one book with my teacher. Luckily Piano Marvel has that in their library. But the main reason I chose Piano Marvel over other piano learning apps is because they advertise that you can upload your own sheet music for practice. THIS IS A COMPLETE LIE! They have several videos for this. I watch the videos multiple times and followed step by step. I had to purchase playscore2 to make this work. So I did. First of all, the way the app is displayed on iPad Pro, you cannot ever get to the upload button. It literally does not exist on the iPad app. So instead, I either have to pull up the desktop version or go through the support button and then hit launch app from there, then I am shown a different version that has the upload button. Once I do this this version is VERY glitchy. When I go to log in there is some error that pops up in a pop up box. I can X out of that. Ill find the sheet music that I saved they way they instruct me to save it and then when I go to creat a thumbnail with a picture I’m the app shuts down completely. So I do a work around for that but once it says everything s done and saved, when I find the lesson that I just saved it wont play. NOTHING. I have spent hours or many days trying to get this to work. I’ve tried to contact support. They will not email me back. It’s been weeks, and no response. I’ve tried calling and no answer. SO IM DONE. There is a reason why this uploading has been in beta mode for YEARS!! It’s because it doesn’t work. If anyone knows of an piano learning app that does what I need it to do please let me know because this is not it and the customer service is crap as well.

Hi there, Josh here with Piano Marvel. First off, I want to apologize for you feeling misled. I am not sure if you reached out to me asking for help, but there's a good chance you did since I am the person who helps with this. 😊 I would be more than happy to help you learn to upload music. It is a bit tricky, but it does work and I think it super effective once you get the hang of it. My email is Josh@pianomarvel.com. I hope to hear from you and apologize again. Best, Josh
Fantastic for the Self Learner

First off let get the obvious out of the way. No app as of yet is going to make you a virtuoso pianist. Music has too many nuances for that. On the other hand lessons from a teacher can be expensive and a lot of the early basics can easily be learned on ones on so that when the time for a tutor arises you can get on to the more technical aspects of piano right away; that’s where Piano Marvel comes in. It can definitely get a beginner up to speed with things such as rhythm, sight reading, fingering, etc. Particularly beneficial is its rating system which gives you a good indication of exactly what you know and where you’re at. I like that it’s not gamified to the extent that an intermediate, advanced, or serious piano student won’t be put off, but does have that competitive angle that motivates some learners to achieve their best. All in all a very good app worth the money.
