Seems like it could be a cool app. However the directions for all the grouping and linking etc is quite confusing. For example just clicking the gradient option and then selecting blue-pink, lights turn blue and then do nothing else even minutes later. I figured the lights would move through blue to pink spectrum gradually. But then again nothing to give a description of what the different selections are suppose to do. Most likely will be deleting this app.Revision:: I was promptly contacted by the app developer after sending in my review and rating. After three or 4 emails he was able to help through the app. I got my lights setup and he was able to better explain the parts I was confused with like light bands etc. I have to give kudos to app developer for reaching out to his customer and providing great support. So thank you very much for that. Good having used the app further I’m overall pleased. In the future I plan to unlock some of the other features the app has to offer. I would now recommend this app to others. And if you have any trouble or question please contact the app developer so he can you.

Pretty reliable but...

The main "normal" work flawlessly. But I bought one additional add on under animation "sky". It worked pretty good for about a month but now it says "I have reached the maximum....boa boa... and it won't let me use it. It was a one time purchase not a limited number of uses. Pretty dissatisfied withy that. But the normal section works pretty well.Thanks for response to my review, but... terminating all concurrent does not work. I get the warning saying I can only have 3 run and a choice to terminate. I select terminate all events and absolutely nothing happens. I try to run the clear sky animation again and I get the same warning and nothing happens. Can you walk me thru the steps to reset and how to properly use animations?Thank you yet again, but the option you provided worked only once. I've used nearly every option of "stopping" I can come up with. Included, selecting all lights, then swipe screen left, and hitting "stop" and then again , hitting "turn off and stop". Then try starting a sunny animation or moonlight animation and I get that same message. I repeat the stop process and nada. Maybe your update will be the fix. Maybe I delete and re download and start again. Right now I am going to use another app. Thank you for getting back to me. That means more to me then the bug.Update- with feedback from developer and instruction I have no issues with the app. It works perfectly as advertised.

Purchased animation are permanent. The error you are experiencing is "Maximum concurrent effect reached" is a limit of number of animation that can be run different group. Thorlight allow 3 animations to be run on 3 different groups at the same moment, once that limit reached the user must stop animation on other group or use the "Terminate all running animation" to easily stop all other running animation. Please use the "Help -> Contact developer" option in the app for direct support. ThanksEDIT: After further discussion an issue as been identified and a fix is coming in next update. Current solution is to select "All lights" group in top menu and then press the "Stop" button in the right option panel. Again, thanks for sharing the issue. EDIT2: Version 2.1 now address this issue.

This way, you can be sure your lights will look & perform as you imagined & your money will not be wasted. You can also upload your own photos to create color themes, scenes & animations; choose colors, groups, or rooms individually; build your own dynamic themes using your favorite photos; set the timing & sequence of color changes...I'm pretty sure it does anything imaginable with Hue.I'm always excited when I find new things this app can do!Another thing that sets Thorlight above the rest is the fact they provide fun new lighting themes every now & then and they keep the app functional, updated, and running smoothly at all times. Very customizable but buggy

Sort of allows for endless options for however you wish to setup your lights separately or together but the effects don't last long. With the app open my lights were as I set them but once the app is exited or my phone screen is shut off, the lights don't function properly after a short time. Closing the app disables any sequences or changing scenes you may have set. For example - I have red and blue lights that alternate 3 seconds on/off. Once the app is exited, the lights stay fixed on blue or red and do not alternate. Also, it keeps stating you can only have 3 effects at once - **click to terminate all effects** - click to apply effect previously attempting and the message appears again. Seems like the scenes/lights/effects don't change every click. Sometimes the lights won't adjust properly to your wants/needs without shutting the light off and clearing everything. There are easier apps to use.

Sorry to hear you are having a bad experience with Thorlight. Concurrent effect issue as been resolved with version 2.2. Thorlight does work in background operation but can be stoped by any other application that request higher priority on audio sub system. Phone, FaceTime, Skype call will most likely stop Thorlight in the background. Please try to force stop all other application running your device and see if Thorlight work properly in background. Please note that locked section do not work in background.
