MyBooks is the best app to display your own library in a list. You can use the ISBN of the book to scan, or you can enter a book manually. Get the data of your book from a global catalog (author, title, publication date, book covers and picture) and store it in your own database. You can enter your personal rating to each book or each author, so you still know after years how you liked the book. Likewise, you can add in a memo field a comment on the book. You can add a location (f. e. living room, bedroom ...) , where your book is stored. You can sort the list by author, title or rating, series and all the other fields..... You can view the list in different formats Export: CSV: Numbers, Excel, PDF. Backup your data to iCloud, so you can manage your data on all your devices. Scanning barcodes causes it to keep crashing.

I like the app but it definitely needs a bug fix and/or update because scanning the barcodes causes it to crash. I’ve tried it multiple times with the same results. Needs an update or bug fix. Other than that, I like keeping my library in one place that is searchable and is helpful when I’m at the bookstore to ensure that I don’t accidentally buy the same book twice.

I like the app but it definitely needs a bug fix and/or update because scanning the barcodes causes it to crash. I’ve tried it multiple times with the same results. Needs an update or bug fix. Other than that, I like keeping my library in one place that is searchable and is helpful when I’m at the bookstore to ensure that I don’t accidentally buy the same book twice.

Since latest update, the rollers for location and for genre won’t roll for me. Very annoying. Adding the roller for authors ensures I enter the names the same each time - thank you!I searched the app and the creator’s website but do not see a place to request help, so this is it. I am afraid to remove and reload the app, as I am sure I will lose all 2,000 titles!I love just having a searchable list of all my books and book types so I stop duplicating purchases! The Search function works well, which makes it easier, as well. The rollers work well in Search, just not while adding or editing titles. Any help would be appreciated!I do wish the roller choices could be edited, as, due to sticky rollers, I have categories such as “W” and “Roman”.

Ok, it helps, to click on the right red x in the field on the right side, then type in the first letter of the genre or location. In the meantime i see what i can do to make that a little bit easier. The reel selection accesses all data that has already been entered. To clean up your data (W and Roman), the filter and replace function can help you. I had to do this with my data too, and this helped me… 😉Thanks for your input, I'll have revised the rollers again..

I love the app, but there are still some things in a different language (German perhaps?). For instance, I think the book location category is an option, but it’s in a different language when you click on it. It says, neuen Standort eingenben.” Also, when I export it to a PDF, the page numbers are in a different language as well. It says, “Seite 1,” etc.

I tried using the app on two devices with no syncing, limited scanning results, and when prompted to search for a manual entered title and author, it wouldn’t search the internet to fill in the blanks. Overall it’s a big disappointment for an app that showed promise.
