// PRACTICE WITH REAL WORDS
Unlike other typing courses, KeyKey generates real words in your native language, eliminating the need to type nonsense you’ll never use. Start applying what you’ve learned immediately and build letter combinations into muscle memory, making your typing practice more effective.
// NO TYPOS
Even with bad typing habits, KeyKey Typing Tutor’s accuracy features highlight your errors, showing where to focus for improvement. The app tracks your typos and identifies challenging letters, encouraging repetitive practice until perfection, enhancing your typing speed and accuracy.
// COMPARE YOUR STATS
KeyKey doesn’t just track typos, accuracy, and Typing Speed; it also shows your progress session by session. The app adjusts word difficulty based on your performance, and you can add capital letters, numbers, and punctuation to further challenge your touch typing skills.
// KEEP SCORE
Regardless of the languages or keyboards you’ve learned, KeyKey Typing Tutor’s Progress Tracker lets you observe your improvement. It presents lesson results and visualizes your progress over time, helping you track Typing Speed and errors. Challenge yourself in typing practice to earn three stars in each lesson.
// USE CUES IN A VIRTUAL KEYBOARD
KeyKey’s virtual keyboard aids in improving your touch typing skills. It shows finger placement for proper technique and provides key hints, guiding you to the correct key without looking at the real keyboard. This support during your typing lessons helps you develop effective habits. Pick an ANSI or ISO keyboard to match the one you type on, and hide the on-screen keyboard once you’re ready to type without looking.
// SAFE FOR ALL AGES
Lesson word lists are free of offensive words, so KeyKey is a good fit for kids, students and adults alike.
// LEARN IN YOUR MOTHER TONGUE
KeyKey Typing Tutor’s language algorithm creates a useful and engaging application. It supports popular languages and layouts like QWERTY, COLEMAK, and DVORAK, refining your touch typing and Typing Speed.

Crashes, no timer, but useful

M1 mac, app will lock up for a short time when trying to shut the app down. There is a place to tell the app how long you would like to practice per day, but no timer option that I can find. Other than that, I can practice using capitols and the number keys. I use this app every day.
❤️ Almost Everything I Wanted! ❤️

I bought the app initially a while back thinking to improve my typing speed and make less errors. I got exactly what I came for, and then more. Later obviously I imagined new things I wanted...which I think they're working on putting in. WELL WORTH the price of admission.I saw a review from another user who learned DVORAK with KeyKey. That is SO awesome. I actually switched to DVORAK long ago without it, and wish I had it to learn with. DVORAK is so fantastic - it has relieved the pain from carpel tunnel or RSI ...whatever it was which was caused by typing so much with QWERTY. It's great that KeyKey supports the DVORAK layout!Some reviews say there's no statistics or that it's "calling home" to report stats online, which are completely untrue statements. I hope Apple removes that false information. It only does offline stats and saves it privately and securely in your own iCloud account for syncronizing and backup. The developer has no access to it.Now the only things I am hoping for are custom text to practice with, and a mode to practice words which have common typos (based on my own stats).This app is great and while I have not used it a ton, I do enjoy its slick interface and design, and the straightforward functionality. In fact I would vote it for an Apple Design award!
Missing so many simple features

if you're going to charge $15 (a lot for any app) you need to have some VERY BASIC features: once you start a section you can't pause or start over. sometimes you get intrurrupted or start with your hand in the wrong place. well that's forever counted towrards your "score" - which doesn't really exist anyways, all you get is a long bargraph on a timeline. super lame. would be nice to see a solid wmp or error percentage so you could see how you're improving over time. but nope. There's no way to start a whole level over either which is what you should do if you do terrible. it's overall an annoying app and i had half a mind to request a refund but I want something i can use offline and it's marginally better than typing tutor since you can't backspace or get a wpm readout. two of the only things keykey got right.
Developer Response
Fair on some points, not all. Restart: press Enter, the line starts over and nothing is recorded. Redo a level: manual mode in settings, choose any lesson. Numbers: chars per minute, accuracy and typos are right above the text, and the stats panel keeps them per lesson. Where you're right is pausing, there's no explicit pause yet.
Impresive app, even more impressive developers.

I purchased this app over a year a go. It was great when I purchased it & since then its gotten better and better. I feel like this is a model development team. They consistently release meaningful updates and have greatly improved its UI and functionality. I have yet to be asked to repurchase, or subscribe even though the product I initially paid for has been improved dramatically. It seems rare these days to have that experience. Its obvious these developers care about their product and the people that use it. I recomend it to anyone whos interested in expanding their typing skills.
– Manual lessons stay focused on the letters of the lesson you picked
– Scroll the Statistics chart sideways to see your whole lesson history
If KeyKey helps you type faster, a quick review would mean a lot — thank you!
