I wired up my Sonoff iFan04-L and placed it into pairing mode using the button on the Sonoff device. The app would not find the Sonoff no matter what I did for over two hours of the device timing out. I don’t know how, but the app finally recognized the device but then I found that the wireless remote no longer controlled the Sonoff and repeatedly following the instructions in the Sonoff manual to pair the remote have been fruitless. To top this all off, there is no widget or ability to control the app through Siri, so for one device I have to unlock my iPhone, scroll to the screen that holds this app, open the app, then select the device and tap the On/Off switch.
sick of constant obstacles in tech

Update: Still a HUGE waste of my time. I can’t even get the stupid app to recognize my Sengled bulbs in pair mode, when the bridge-p is blinking and searching and the two devices are literally on top of each other. What do I have to do to make this “works with everything” actually WORK?? Since Sengled decided to stop functioning, I had to find another hub. I bought a sonoff zigbee bridge pro, which is supposed to work with my sengled bulbs. Using the ewelink app, it will only recognize the hub. Will NOT pair/pair with/recognize the bulbs in pairing mode. If it “works with everything” the very least the app should do is RECOGNIZE bulbs in pairing mode, whether it wants to let me connect them to a hub or not. It doesn’t even SEE them. ffs… when is society going to demand all tech WORK, regardless of proprietary nonsense, so the people who PAY for these things don’t have to spend hours of our lives and hundreds of our $ wasting time trying to get things (that should be plug and play) to simply WORK? ….especially if their motto is that they “work with everything”
A great smart home app with outstanding all-around performance.

I’ve been using it for 4 years, and the biggest advantage is its wide compatibility with brands and devices. Beginners can easily scan to add bulbs, plugs, and sensors all at once — it hardly cares about the manufacturer. I mainly use SONOFF devices, which have proven to be very reliable: disconnection is rare, and remote control is nearly instant. The automation features support “multi-condition + multi-action” setups, which is great for advanced users. What’s more, new features are being rolled out rapidly, and it’s one of the few apps that seamlessly integrates all major voice platforms (Google, Alexa, Siri). It also complements Home Assistant well. The downside is that the UI feels a bit “engineer-oriented” compared to other smart home apps — not quite as cozy or polished. But since most interactions rely on voice assistants and automation routines, this isn’t a dealbreaker.Overall, I’d give it 5 stars — hoping the developers continue to strengthen its multi-brand ecosystem!
Device adding oblivion
Respond to Reviews!
This app is like trying to find a light switch in a dark room, in the far corner, on the ceiling. Device pairing, which should be trivial, sits and spins for 20-30 minutes, and doesn’t give you a clue if it is making progress or if it is stuck in some infinite loop. No information whatsoever. Just says “Adding device”, but never comes back. Do you wait, forever, or conclude that it is, in fact, NOT “adding” your device, but merely “spinning” forever into oblivion, and cut your loses? Some kind of progress steps at each point would help a lot.
