Ohno Circle is a Lean observation tool designed to help you see and understand how work really happens.
Inspired by the simple observation practice associated with Taiichi Ohno, the app puts the circle in your pocket: go to the Gemba, observe the work carefully, and capture what happens as it happens.
Create projects and observations, then register each change in activity with a single tap. Ohno Circle records the timing while you classify activities using Value Adding, Waiting, Transport, Rework, Setup, Check, Overproduction, Motion, Overprocessing, or your own custom statuses.
Add comments and photos to document problems, interruptions and relevant details without losing the flow of the observation.
When the observation is complete, Ohno Circle helps you understand where the time went. Review the complete timeline, analyze time by status and task, and identify patterns and opportunities for improvement.
