Create knitting patterns for hand or machine! Make sweaters for the whole family & any yarn! Customise measurements and style! Knit in the round or flat.
Create unlimited custom sweater knitting patterns (pullover or cardigan) with this fantastic knitting pattern app.
The app creates knitting patterns for any sweater or cardigan, for any gauge of yarn, to standard sizes or custom measurements.

Patterns are produced as both written text, with options for knitting the garment in the round from the top down, or flat, from the bottom up. The pattern is also shown diagrammatically in the form of a schematic diagram.
Patterns created are saved in a pattern list.
Written instructions and schematic diagrams can be printed with AirPrint, and saved as PDF. (PDF can be opened in other applications, e.g. Documents, iBooks).

I’m a machine knitter. I love KnitsThatFit the program gives me the right shaping and stitch counts. I can customize my garments too. It’s a terrific. Thank you 🎀 Jacqueline. I’ve been using both the sweater and the hat app for machine knitting for over 10 yrs. It’s so customizable that I can add dimensions to my garments. I can use any stitch pattern I like. I can make a hoodie out of a funnel neck cardigan. I can add a peplum edge to a basic pullover or add a skirt to a sleeveless drop shoulder for a sundress and so much more. It’s always in my pocket when inspiration strikes me. Love, love, love it.
UI is painful!

Before purchasing, I looked at reviews. One reviewer complained about the popups at EVERY. SINGLE. STEP. OF. THE. WAY. You replied that it was only for the first pattern. Nu-uh!! EVERY. FRIKKIN. STEP OF THE WAY. For multiple patterns. And what makes it 10 times worse is that you can’t start a garment and save part way through. So, if you don’t have ALL of the information ready to enter, you either have to continue, putting some fake, placeholder numbers in (hoping that when you go back to put in the right numbers that you catch all of the fake ones, and don’t miss any, thus ending up following a pattern that is wrong), or you lose everything you’ve entered up to that point. This was also mentioned by the same reviewer - THREE YEARS AGO, and no changes made. Frustrating and disappointing.I will add that after completing the lengthy process of entering all of that information, the final message is a fairly cryptic one about copying the new information. When I clicked on that, which seemed like the next thing I was being asked to do . . . ALL OF MY ENTRIES DISAPPEARED. AAARRRGGGHHHHH!!!!😤😤😖😖
Frustrating to use, but pattern looks reasonable

I had to start over 4x after entering a lot of information because the app sent me back to the main screen when I tapped the option for custom sizes. Additionally, every single time you make a change in the form, you get a pop up notification walking you through how to fill out the form. That’s fine the first time, but it gets obnoxious really quickly and it doubles the number of taps needed to do literally anything. I suppose that’s fine if it produces a reasonable pattern, and I will be testing that soon. You only have to do it once per garment, after all. But the UI was tricky enough that it motivated me to actually write a review. For a $13 app, I expected a little more in terms of usability. I hope some of these things can be smoothed out, because the flexibility of the customizations available looks amazing. Things I’d change: no more pop ups with explanations (help button for each one instead?) allow saving unfinished forms for patterns (or fix the bug that deleted all my entered info), allow numerical entry instead of scrolling through numbers 1, 1.5, 2, …, and a diagram for the custom measurements (no idea what underarm length is, for example)
Developer Response
Hi,I am sorry that you are not happy with the app. However I think that some of your comments are unfair as the app already does what you are asking for!I have updated the app to change the way that custom measurements are entered, so that bug has been fixed. The pop up notifications guiding you through the settings only appear when you are creating your first pattern. Once you have successfully saved the pattern, you do not get them any more. There are help buttons for each of the settings. There is also a settings guide that explains all of the settings. Including explanations and diagrams of what the underarm length is. I hope you are now using the app without problems.Kindest regards,Jacqueline
Amazing
Morning Eagle !
I am a hand spinner and have been needing something like this app for a long, long time. It is such a wonderful tool for folks whose gauge just doesn’t fit the “Ravelry” mode. No offense there I love Ravelry but have spent far too many late nights hours trying to find a pattern to fit my numbers. Thank you, thank you, thank you …and for making your app affordable too! God bless ya!
Now with Boatneck and Slash neck style options!
Also some improvements to schematics and bug fixes.
