I’m enjoying InterNations even though I haven’t used it nearly as much as I should.This platform is a great way to meet folks locally at various events hosted by members in the community. You can also post your moving/living abroad questions on the community wall, which is a great way to meet other members. In addition, there is a language exchange that happens monthly I believe, which is another great way to meet new people AND practice a new language.

I have been a long time member with this great organization, but for the past few years I have been quite disappointed with the events and quality of people attending them.The events I have been attending in Madrid lost their luster and high quality for some reason.In 2012 I attended multiple events where there was an attendance of a great selection of people mostly international, with a good range of ages with different professions.During the past 2 years I only see unfortunately low class people, sorry I don’t mean to target a particular group, but I don’t get to meet the quality people I got used to compared to the early days of this organization. In addition, instead of meeting a good selection of international people, I would say 80% of the people are mainly Spanish. Which is fine but this is no longer InterNations. Also, it seems that the group leaders or organizers are only targeting locations to gain personal benefits to collect some commissions, I don’t have any proof of that but I can see that the organizers have become fake and not really interested in introducing members to each other. I remember when I used to enter the event and the organizer would take my name and start introducing me to people all around.It is unfortunate that your organization has changed to become as such, I really like the concept and I do hope that changes will be made to make the experience as it used to be.Thank you.

I neither like this app or dislike it but it’s interesting to use so far. My main problem is that there are no App notification sounds for Apple iOS. That means that anytime I get a message, I have to actually go inside the App and look to see if I receive any messages. The notifications will show up but unless you're staring at your screen all day you wont know you received a message. There is absolutely no noise or sound. Can you please fix this so that people can hear the Sound and know when they receive a notification ? Also a Verification process would be nice. So you know who you are talking to. There are hundreds of profiles with no Profile pictures. This is catfiahing waiting to happen. Thank you

The InterNations app is easy on the eye and has a good balance of information, images, and white space. One can easily search events and join various communities around the world to see other events taking place and remain connected with friends and acquaintances. The variety of activities is the thing of legend. I only wish there were a smoother interface translating time zones across the event registration & attendance process with fewer steps between. Use of third party portals like eventbrite only add to the confusion because their reminders don’t sync with the world clock. And do it frequently happens that I get a two or more hour reminder after the event has ended.
