I really want to give this a 5star and i still could if they can solve the problem of it freezing whenever you open the app. It takes close to 1min or more for it to settle. It’s very frustrating and discouraging. It never used to do that until early this year. I had another episode where it scrambled all my bills that I was late on payments because it glitched. I was only alerted by my credit card companies that I’m missing a payment.. I was like Son of a **** app did me!! I was sooo upset and mad. I solely rely on this app to pay my bills and when it glitches or misbehaves I’m doomed. I know i shouldn’t rely on a random app for that but I bought what they were selling and it’s the best I’ve found so far. Please fix this mess. I want to open the app and get on with it and not wait 1min or more for it “do its thing and re adjust” before I can check or apply a bill etc. I have updated and even deleted then reinstalled the app but it’s still happening. I don’t know! Just fix it. Thanks.

Well put together, but…

I was simply looking for an app to stay on top of bills, but as this app locks in a linkage between sources of income, i.e. banks, and bills or general withdrawals. This makes the process of tracking utility bills alone more complicated than it needs to be. You can’t add a utility bill without linking it to a bank account as your preferred source of payment. I took the approach of creating a bogus bank account that will simply reflect an ever growing negative balance. It also focuses primarily on reporting against expense category vs expenditure for a specific utility provider. Bill entry is freeform and not directly linked to uniquely maintained accounts for utilities or other vendors. Bill entry and analysis could be better served if the app allowed you to maintain unique entries for utilities and other vendor relationships. This would offer two benefits. The option to select an established utility in a dropdown to prefill data and link the bill to the utility. Allow us to report against data for supplier / utility accounts and their tending expenditure. In short this app seems focused on maintaining data for fiscal assets and freeform expenses drawn from them and not for tracking and reporting on expenditure for unique utilities.
Awesome app!!

I have been using and checking out a number of bill management apps over the years. In my research I came upon Bill Tracker Pro and am extremely impressed. While not perfect it has enough features and characteristics to make bill management fun. (It almost makes me want to pay my bills just to be able to record and analyze the data!!). Another attractive feature is that that app can be used for free (with ads and other minor limitations). For ad-free and full functionality there is one time payment of $4.99. This is compared to others that attract a monthly subscription fee and are not as efficient as Bill Tracker Pro. The interface is the best I have seen. It presents the information in a pleasing and clear manner. The reporting function is pretty good although there are areas for improvement...eg. Reporting on income, breakdown of totals for categories and the ability to add subcategories. I am confident that the developers will address these and other suggestions. I have found them to be extremely responsive and understanding. I have communicated with them re bugs and made enhancement suggestions and they have always been receptive and have addressed some of these. I have given the app 4 stars pending a few more enhancements but must add that I am really impressed with where the app is at now and I know it has further heights to go. Great job, developers.
This app has potential, but issues persist

Of all the bill tracking and finance apps available on the Apple Store, this one had the most potential to be both useful and straightforward to use. I signed up for a one year subscription, but reluctantly deleted the app and decided to wait a few months to see if bug fixes resolve my problem. My problem appears to be related to an issue between my credit union and Plaid ( a middleman banking security system). In the app, I tried multiple times to link my credit accounts with the app. I was able to make some progress by logging in as a “guest” which then took me to my credit union sign-in page (rather than the Plaid sign in system). I was then given the option to link my 8 accounts with the app. As luck would have it, two of the accounts (a checking and savings account) *both end in the same four digits* even though the accounts have different names. There is no way to edit the account information to enter the full account numbers for clarification. I frequently move money back and forth between these two accounts. Unfortunately the checking account was showing double entries for items while the savings account was accurate. I tried unlinking and reconnecting the app multiple times, only to have the error persist or for the checking account to not appear in the app once I reconnected to the credit union (even though it said I had linked all 8 accounts). Another step that helped at one point was to rename the email address in the app profile from a randomly assigned apple email address to the actual email address my credit union has on file. In the end, deleting and reinstalling the app did not solve the problem between the problematic checking and savings account. Rather than getting involved in a three-way finger pointing exercise between the app developer, Plaid and the credit union, I’ll try reinstalling the app in a few months and see if the bug has been addressed. So close, yet so far away…
