Also on your Apple Watch! Or there are points on your route that you want to find again later? No problem, Altimeter allows you to save locations with name and icon to navigate back to them later. On your iPhone, your iPad and your Apple Watch. Altimeter is free and has no ads. If you like using Altimeter, you can support further development by making a donation. If you have any questions or comments, you can send a support request within the app. Features - Height in meters or feet with accuracy - Locations in multiple coordinate systems (International, Swiss, UTM, MGRS) - Save locations and navigate to them - Share location and altitude with friends - System light/dark mode, colored or monochrome - iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch Altimeter uses the GPS chip to determine altitude. To save battery, the chip is only used when the app is displayed on your iPhone, your iPad or Apple Watch. No background activity. Your position is not recorded. Note The accuracy depends on the reception of the GPS satellites. Reception is limited indoors. Continuous use of the GPS can significantly shorten the battery life. For the last several years, I have relied on this app to both determine as well as bookmark for future reference the altitude of the location, some visiting, I’m not a professional, or amateur hiker, camper, or an adventure. However, it is very interesting to find out how different the nature is a different altitudes. For example, when I was visiting different areas of Serengeti and Ngorongoro national parks. The epic solid, absolutely nonintrusive and performs flawlessly, doing exactly what it is expected to do. Highly recommended.

Works on watch without requiring iphone

Altitude is updated to current position as soon as you open the app. Many altitude apps don’t work without your iphone nearby, on, and communicating with your apple watch. This one works without the need for the iphone. the other app i found that works without the iphone doesn’t update to current position unless you open it twice.

Works great but would like to see a complication for Apple Watch if that would be possible in the near future other than that everything works fine

Hi. Thx for your feedback and 5 star rating! Yes, a complication view I'd like, too. Unfortunately the current watchOS will update the complication each 30 minutes at most. Wouldn't this be confusing?But I'll keep an eye on it and will add as soon as possible.
