Couldn’t get app to play though phone speakers. Saw developer comment to other reviews regarding this issue. Tried it and that worked. No other music app I have works like this, but I guess there’s a reason. Before using the app further, wanted to update my previous review.

At four dollars for add free use, don’t waste your time trying to deal with the add one like I did. After just a day I felt like I got my money’s worth. Unlike another scales app I used, this one goes about as low as most guys can go and way out of my range on the top. With a few months use my range has expanded by almost a whole octave. There are a lot of features I’d like to add, like making it landscape usable, having sustain on the piano sound, adjusting speed as the scales are running, have a hold button to do the same scale over and over, but this wish list doesn’t take away from what value this app has. I use it at least once a day. Probably the best four bucks I’ve ever spent.

Hey Richard, I'm really happy you like the Pro version so much! While every effort was made to keep the ads in the free version unobtrusive, I understand that can still be irritating. Anyway, I hope you continue to get use out of SwiftScales for years to come!

Great free version, with some little changes needed for custom scales.

First off, one of the best tools for vocal warmups and practice. Very straightforward usage and for the free version, you get way more than enough.Two issues tho, hopefully can be improved, especially if you're paying for the app:1. There seems to be a delay when using this app over Bluetooth audio. Maybe it's how the app is relaying the audio, but when connected over Bluetooth, the first two notes in a warmup scale are rushed, almost like a triplet, with the remaining notes following the set BPM. This can get kind of distracting and makes it hard to be consistent.2. The custom scales function is cool, but it needs more flexibility in terms of adding notes from more than just an octave and a half. For example, I want to do a blues scale and I need more range. Maybe add a sliding keyboard or at least a button for octave +/-Other than that, overall great app. Well worth the price for the pro version to get rid of the ads. Even the free version is worth it!

I’ve been using this app for five years and is largely responsible for my progression with singing as I’m driving to and from work. There’s no other app that allows me so far that I’ve seen 2 practice. Scales with unique emphasis on agility or pitch or whatever parameter I’m needing to work on, it’s also amazing that I can pay 399 and make all the ads go away forever with no subscription.
