Description
MediWear brings a Medical ID to your Apple Watch - you never know when you might need it.
If you’re ever without your phone and get into a medical emergency, you can rely on MediWear to be there to inform first responders about your medical details. Using the Apple Watch app, responders can view your medical conditions, medication, general details and much more - all from your wrist. Through the Complications, you can display your medical ID on your Watch Face - no need to even open the app!
MediWear contains these great features:
APPLE WATCH MEDICAL ID
MediWear has been designed for your Apple Watch so all of your medical details are within easy reach. You’ll be able to view personal details, medical conditions, allergies & reactions, medication and emergency contacts - all on your wrist. Access all of this without the need to unlock your iPhone!
COMPLICATIONS
There’s no need to even launch the app as all of your medical details can be added to your Watch Face through the MediWear Complication. This is perfect for displaying to first responders who can then tap it and view even more detail about you.
EMERGENCY CONTACTS
If you’ve chosen to add emergency contacts to the app, you’ll be able to call them with just a tap from the app or Complication.
CUSTOMIZATION
MediWear offers the ability to fully customize the Complication and whether a Star of Life or medical Cross is used when using the app launcher Complication.
TRANSLATE
Translate medical conditions, medications and allergies/reactions when travelling abroad.
STORED SECURELY
All medical ID data is stored securely on your own private iCloud account using the secure Keychain functionality. No data ever leaves your device.
SYNC
MediWear was designed to work with the MediWidget and MediSOS apps so you’re able to enter your medical ID once and use it everywhere. Syncing is done automatically through the shared Keychain and enables you to pick and choose which medical ID apps you’d like from the MediApps bundle.

Ratings and Reviews
Everything is fine except for this bug
At first everything was fine until I added the year of birth, apparently the older years will just switch over from 19__ to 20__. I hope this gets fixed because it’s important to my grandfather.
Developer Response ,
Hi, apologies for this! Can you try again using the latest update please?
Works good , except .......
My medication list keeps disappearing and I can’t use the app when the watch is on lock screen , other than that it’s a nice app
Developer Response ,
Hi, version 2.0.1 was released yesterday to fix the bug you describe - if you see it again then please email info@adamfoot.uk. In regards to your other issue, no Apple Watch apps work when the device is locked - same way your iPhone functions.
Was great until it stopped working.
This app worked great when I got it. Then I updated to IPhone 14 and Apple Watch SE. The app still shows in the list of apps when I scroll thru on my watch, but it’s no longer available in the list of complications to choose from in the watch app on my phone. I emailed the developer, and he responded by asking what version of iOS Im running. Never got another answer or any suggestions for solutions.
Developer Response ,
Hi, you should have received a response from me by now, if not please email support@adamfoot.dev and I’ll respond as soon as possible!
The issue you describe seems to be a common problem in watchOS 9 unfortunately but I will keep looking into it.
