Français Authentique 17+

Over the past year I’ve been looking for a way to refresh my French, which I used to speak pretty well, but haven’t used for decades. With FA I’ve finally found what I’ve been looking for. Johan speaks like any good teacher, explaining what he means clearly and using different expressions, so if you didn’t catch his meaning the first way, you’ll figure it out. His topics are varied, but he weaves in common threads. This makes it easier to understand and build on your vocabulary while keeping it interesting.

The level varies quite a bit, which I find helpful. Some episodes are easy enough for me to understand automatically, without needing to go back to puzzle out the meaning. This is great because it gets me thinking in French and picking up expressions automatically. Other episodes are a bit harder, so I might need to listen a fews times and refer to the transcript to make sense of them. That’s good too, since it stretches my capacity.

I really appreciate Johan’s warm, pleasant tone and upbeat attitude. The wealth of free materials is great. I feel that Johan wants to help anyone who is learning French regardless of their ability to pay. The free materials are not just a teaser to get you to buy one of his products, but a valuable resource in and of themselves.

This is a French teacher on mission to inspire, educate and oversatisfy anyone wanting to speak French. Oversatisfy in the sense that he is a force for self-reflection, self-education, self-development and self-motivation. Johan Is exuberant without being exhausting, scholarly without being pedantic, balanced, steady, and never ever boring. it took me a while to decide to spend the money for his course, but I'm delighted! Definitely the best thing I've done for myself since the pandemic started.👍🥳

i find myself drawn to incorporating a daily dose of Johan’s teachings into my routine. It’s not difficult to have a positive outlook and strive to improve your français with Johan at the helm. Now to only incorporate some of his other practices regarding personal development into the daily train-train...maybe the mundaneness of life would be a little more bearable.
