New: Add notes to meals and remember the context that matters, from how you felt to what influenced your choices.
Make mindful eating easier with one quick healthiness check-in. Add tags or a note only when they help, then see your patterns and streaks emerge over time. No calories, macros, food database, account, or ads.
A food diary should build awareness, not become homework. Moderation asks one simple question: was this meal healthy or unhealthy for you? Over time, those quick check-ins become trends you can understand and habits you can shape.
No weighing every ingredient. No searching through endless food results. You decide how a meal felt, add only the context that is useful, and keep moving.
LOG MEALS IN SECONDS
• Log breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, or your own custom meals with one tap.
• Mark each meal healthy or unhealthy based on your goals, not somebody else's formula.
• Use reminders when they help, with extra nudges available for more accountability.
• Work fully offline, so a weak connection never interrupts your diary.
UNDERSTAND HOW YOU EAT OVER TIME
• Review meals in a clear daily timeline and calendar.
• See daily, weekly, and monthly healthiness patterns at a glance.
• Build healthy-day streaks and get gentle encouragement when you are nearly back on track.
• Explore tag insights to notice which situations, ingredients, places, or routines help or get in your way.
• Follow weight trends with Apple Health, without turning every meal into a calorie calculation.
ADD CONTEXT ONLY WHEN IT HELPS
• Add custom tags for the details that matter to you, such as mood, location, ingredients, or how you felt.
• Add a note while logging a meal, then read or edit it directly from the timeline.
• Create custom meal types that fit your actual day instead of forcing a fixed meal plan.
FIT AWARENESS INTO YOUR DAY
• Log meals with Siri, Shortcuts, widgets, or the Action Button when opening the app would slow you down.
• Ask Siri to show today's logged meals, or use Shortcuts to retrieve meals for a date range and filter them by healthiness.
• Put healthiness, streak, and insight widgets on your Home Screen or Lock Screen.
• Toggle meal notifications from Control Centre and let reminders adjust when your time zone changes.
YOUR FOOD HISTORY STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
Your food history and meal notes stay on your device. Moderation requires no account, sign-up, or social profile, and it contains no ads.

I’ve been using this app for more than a year and pay for the Pro version in a yearly plan. I use it daily but on my iPhone 14 Pro it crashes all the time! I can’t really analyze my patterns very well because the app crashes every time I use it for more than 10-15 seconds. For a paid app, not good enough.
Good, but breakfast-centric.

I love everything about this app, except the fact that the UI really expects you to eat three meals a day — breakfast, lunch, dinner. I do fasting and don’t have much of an appetite in the morning, so most days I skip breakfast. The app really doesn’t handle that situation well. Is the dev in the pocket of Big Cereal? You be the judge.
Amazing app, changing the way I eat.

I was using another app for the purpose of logging meals and it was SUCH A SLOG to record all the details. By contrast this app is a breath of fresh air—all of the good and none of the slog... I LOVE IT! The streaks are super motivating. Add in the focus on privacy and I’m a convert. I want to donate to this app’s development team.
Good app but still could be improved

I like the app for the ability to log meals that are health or unhealthy and monitor the healthy lifestyle. On the other hand, you can only create tags for each meal. You cannot actually fully document what you are eating. It becomes subjective to what you think is healthy vs unhealthy.
Developer Response
HiThanks for the review. I’m planning on adding a “notes” feature which will let you add more detailed information about your meals in a future releaseDom
This update adds meal notes. Add context while logging a meal, then view or edit your note from the timeline.
Also in this release:
- Correct a meal's date and time so your timeline reflects when you ate
- Ask Siri to show today's meals, or use Shortcuts to find meals by date and healthiness
- Faster meal menus and clearer alphabetical tag sorting
- Improved VoiceOver support and clearer purchase screens
- Small fixes make Moderation smoother and more reliable
