Honestly it’s not the best app but Alaska has been such a mess since Covid that I’m just happy we even have an app for our news source. So many people here don’t have the slightest idea of what’s even going on here. Better than nothing. I’m still giving a low rating because of the ridiculous ads. This is the first app I’ve ever downloaded that forces constant ads in your face, I’ve NEVER downloaded an app that forces this amount of ads either. Gross greed for Alaska’s primary news source, something ever other state doesn’t have to put up with

Gray Television Stations bought out KTVA channel 11 in Anchorage Alaska. KTVA had a fantastic app that allowed us to stream their professional news reports flawlessly.We were able to watch in our community of Seward, Alaska. Now we can only watch KTUU Chanel 2 in Anchorage which is somewhat boring. KTVA had a great news team including Melissa Frey reporting the Alaska weather with great expertise! Megan Mazuric was the best news journalist in Alaska.KTVA news & weather were transformed to KYES channel 5 in Anchorage & now we can no longer stream KYES in Seward. KTUU CHANNEL 2 is our only streaming option and it freezes constantly & we end up missing the news & weather reports altogether.Please create an app specifically for KYES Channel 5 (which is a CBS network). We pay for CBS live streaming every month but somehow Gray Television has disabled our ability to live stream CBS although we pay for it.Thanks for blocking our ability to watch the news. Sure hope there is not an emergency in Seward, Alaska and we are left in the dark.

This app is a mess. I use it to watch the Anchorage news but the app doesn’t make it easy. It isually will not resume streaming after commercials, requiring one to guess when the ads are over and restart the app to get back to programming. It often will switch from the program you to one of their other features. And every time, you have to sit through the Peoplemover ad. It’s frustrating to use.

Ads now pop up everywhere and you're forced to listen to sound and talking in the background when all I wanted is to read the local new. Now it's much intrusion so moving on to any other app with local news. This app is now too intrusive. I may be back when ads have no sounds. Was good until this. Straw that broke the trust is that it's now using so much batt power. Only check the news a few time a day but usage show it's use 25% the iPhone power. Even when app not being viewed it seems to use the most power. Ads seem to play in the background even when no longer viewing the news.
