I got these Bluetooth LED strips for free from an app called Total Trivia, and for free, they're pretty good. The LEDs themselves are great, they could be brighter but I don't really mind. The pairing process is simple, easy, and completely automatic. When you first launch the app, it starts scanning for the smart items that you have. This is also annoying, it has to reconnect every single time you open the app, and it takes a few seconds, its fine though, I can live with it. Here is the part where I drill into the app and point out the bad things. The color picker wheel-- cool -- barely works, you can't just tap what color you want, you have to swipe to it from another color, and it isn't accurate. The contrast slider doesn't work, if you try to slide it even a nanometer, it will make the LEDs turn light beige or light pink. The whole app is janky. The scroll wheel for the time when I set a schedule lags or moves at 0.9 fps. The settings button does nothin but scan for more bulbs or LED strips and when/if you accidentally click it, you cannot back out of it until it finishes scanning which takes what feels like 10 seconds. This is a BIG issue; it doesn't have a fade feature or even a jump feature. It cannot fade through the rainbow on its own, the app won't allow you to do it. It doesn't even have a jump feature to jump to different colors. And this is t needed but one thin that would be nice is to have a DIY feature where you can set the level of each color to be able to create your own color, or a full color wheel instead of a ring. Sorry for rambling at certain parts. I have no issue with you guys, just, please fix your app! -Thanks

I like how the bulbs can be controlled individually or added to groups. However, every bulb in the group HAS to be exactly the same (both in color in brightness). I would like to be an option when creating groups that would let you choose whether the bulbs are grouped for color, brightness or both. That way I can have my bulbs all the same color and brightness, or I can have them all the same brightness but different colors. Another feature is that we should be able to set the default color and brightness of a bulb or group. One of my “moods” is a warm white, but the bulbs always default to bright white when disconnected from power. Other than that I have no gripes. The timer and schedule features work flawlessly and I never have an issue connecting to the bulbs. Many of the reviews here talk about issues but it sounds like user-error because Bluetooth isn’t as user-friendly as WiFi. If you have an iPhone make sure that Bluetooth is on in your Settings ANNNND that it is toggled on in the Control Center (swipe up from the bottom of the screen). If Bluetooth is off in Control Center, it will disallow any new connections (including to the bulbs) even though Bluetooth is on in Settings.

I also feel stuck. I have bought several and they work great when you have two or three going. But trying to get them all in sync is difficult. Not sure what else to do. Set up was easy. They looked great. But then you add another bulb and it will not work no matter what. When you name them on the app, it also will not save the name next time you turned it on

I just got my two "smart" bulbs, installed this app on my ipad and iPhone and I feel do ripped off.Apparently you can't use multiple devices. So I deleted it know my ipad and then I was able to use my iPhone --- set up was OK, the problem came when i tried to make it turn off remotely. Actually I was sitting right next to the lamp and the app said that the bulb was off, but it stubbornly stayed lit no matter what I tried.And it is stuck in blue!!!! I tried deleting and reinstalling the app but it didn't help. When I tried to get more information on the Web there was nothing about advanced troubleshooting. In fact the only troubleshooting that was in the instructions in the package were too few, too brief and not helpful.So I feel stuck with tech that isn't worth having. I wish the makers wouldn't have released this until it was ready!!!
